how to put .img file on a dedicated partition topic

I put this on the Q&A forum and did not get a response. I have a game written in C. The instructions say it has to be on its own dedicated partition. The final output of the compiled code is an .img file. How can I get this into my phone? I have a SM-N900P. I have a compiled copy of Samsung Source for my phone, and I also have a complied copy of AOSP. Can I put the C code for the game in the external directory, and compile again?
