[How-To] Update to G900VVRU1BOA8 5.0 & KeepRoot (2/3/2015) topic

**You can Odin back to NK2 at anytime after updating to OA8 5.0**

1. Place the G900V_OA8_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM onto your ext-sdcard.
2. Use Safestrap's "Backup" function to backup your User Data.
3. Next, press "Home" and perform an "Advanced Wipe" and wipe everything but your ext-sdcard.
4. Flash the ROM using the "Stock Slot."
5. Once complete press "Home" then "Restore" and restore User Data.
6. Last, press "Reboot" and reboot into "Download Mode" and flash the G900V_OA8_Stock_Kernel in Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+). Done!

The phone will pause on the Verizon splash screen for about 2 minutes after following the above process before completing booting.

Notes:
1. The above process will not affect your User Data or Knox Warranty Flag.
2. This Custom ROM process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, Stock Recovery, and Bootloader to OA8.
3. Safestrap will no longer function after updating to OA8 5.0.
4. When flashing the kernel the most common cause of an Odin flash failure is a bad usb port or cable. Please check before reporting a failure!
