Hi,
I just opened the app Dev tools on my Qualcomm phone, then clicked package browser, then a list of apps appear.
The UID of apps were displayed
Android system is an app,I noticed its UID, which is 1000
THe systemUI UID is 10071
The Feature Setting(com.qualcomm.featuresetting) UID is 1000. Feature settings is an app that manages the features of my phone, it can turn on/off some features either hardware or software. It is an app that came up with my phone when it was bought.
Some system apps has UID 1000, most of these apps can change the behavior of the phone's software and they also have root access(i.e ability to change system files). System UI has also root access.
So how do i CHANGE an app's UID to 1000 to give root permisions or grant its own UID to gain Root access?
my Phone is not rooted.
