[Q] I need help with my 4g modem? (REALLY slow speeds after root/rom help!) topic

Alright so here is the story:

~ Day 1 ~

I got an Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-R530M (This is the MetroPCS version) from ebay. I was like --> :victory:
Then I went to one my my local retailers (MetroPCS obviously) and got a plan that gives me unlimited texting/calling + 2GB of "4G LTE" data usage. Then I was like: :victory: :victory: :fingers-crossed:
For that entire day I used the phone it was like heaven, I was getting 20 mb/s up and down on the bus and at home (first time I ever had a data plan!!) so I wanting to pump this thing up the next day.

~ Day 2 ~

Got home from school installed ADB drivers with this: (Can't send outside links, sorry!) (Success!)
Rooted and installed Philips recovery with this: (Can't send outside links, sorry!) (Success!)
And to finish it off I got LiquidSmooth! (Can't send outside links, sorry!)
This is the part that I was not 100% sure on. My old Galaxy SIII (Verizon) worked on the Unified version under Official > 3.1 > S3 Unified
Now if I'm correct, the unified version works with all the "other" Galaxy S3's that are not listed. So I installed! It worked and I went :good:

~ Day 3 ~

Depression catches on me and it's driving me up the wall! for the whole day I had to fiddle around to just barely get 1x or 3g! If I ever had 4g, it would be 1 bar at most. I had no option but to wait to find a wifi connection to download Oracle's speed test application from Google Play. It installed and I ran a internet speed test and got speeds up to 800 kb/s up and down, WOW! What is this, like dial up? Youtube videos took 900000 years to start playing in 144p and constantly buffered.

Now don't think I just came on here first thing, I have been doing research (NOT ALOT) but enough where it's starting to get very hard for me to figure this whole situation out.
  • Yes, I have a IMEI number

  • I'm running Android 4.4.4

  • Build Number: liquid_d2lte-userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84Pac43f12b4a test-keys

  • SE Linux: Enforcing

  • LiquidSmooth version: LS-KK-v3.1-Official

  • Kernel version 3.4.91-Deathly-1.7 Deadman@Deadman #1 Mon Jul 14 09:55:28 EDT 2014

  • Model NumberL SCH-R530M

  • Bootloader: R530MVQUABNA1

If I have chosen a rom for the wrong device PLEASE tell me this is going to make me angry and I'm starting to have a sad first impressions on MetroPCS's Dataplan service.
