[Q] nexus 5 screen has sound but screen is black topic

I recently replaced my screen on my nexus 5 and now the screen will not turn on. it has sound and vibrates and everything but screen is black. this is the second screen as i returned for a refund because it also was not working. the phone is rooted but i cant do anything because the screen is unresponsive.. please any help would be very appreciated. :confused:
