[Q] recover data from formatted ext3 partition topic

i have a hp lap top. ubuntu was installed by default in it. but i needed windows. so i resized my ubuntu partition to ntfs and installed windows in it. but then ubuntu was not loading , so with easybcd i gave ubuntu entry into the windows boot loader. when i loaded ubuntu , a ubuntu recovery window appeared and insisted to recover the ubuntu in laptop................, i just pressed continue. to my bad luck now every bit of my personal data which was present in ubuntu is lost. the laptop has become a new one with ubuntu and its partitions.
but now i really need my data back. i will be very very thankful if any body help me. please give value atleast for my typing and reply.
