All the builds of vlc (the two from google play and the nightly from android x86 on the vlc site) fail with the following error message
X86 build on non x86 device.
Which is odd because the a1-840fhd is definitely an Intel device.
Interesting cpu-z correctly indentifies the SOC as being a quad core intel but on the system tab gives the board as baylake but the kernel architecture as armv7
Any idea what's going on is the Acer kernel emulating the armv7 so that vlc can't access the x86 code.
Update the nightly android-armv7 build will install and run it will play mp3 files but fails with a serious error when a video file is tried
