[Q] WiFi Direct topic

I have two HD+ with different rom's (CM 10.2 and CM11). Both have WiFi direct listed in the WiFi menu. On both their own id is shown but when search is used neither sees the other. Is WiFi direct not functional? do i need to change a file? Any shared help or experience would be appreciated.
