I'm running stock with Agat's VMUBFL26 v0.2.0 kernel rooted with Superuser 3.0.7.
I'm trying to find the no data ROM to flash to fix the boot loop while keeping all my data.
All the links I've tried are expired, not quite sure what to do.
When I got my Galaxy S2 in summer '13 I quickly rooted it following htt p:// androidforums. com/threads/guide-basic-wip-rooting-and-roms-for-newbies.692347/ (had to add spaces to post cause of new user restrictions.)
Everything worked mostly great, except for once every month or two the phone would become unresponsive and I've have to reboot it via recovery (power + volume).
Anyway, this past Monday I wanted to get rid of the camera focus sound. I had very early on silenced the shutter sound.
Following instructions I thought looked correct and fairly harmless. I created "local.prop" in my /data folder with the "ro.camera.sound.forced=0" line in it.
That's the only change I made.
My phone then got stuck in a boot loop when I restarted it.
Using adb's shell I removed the local.prop file but I'm still stuck in a boot loop.
My last backup (copy/paste in USB mode) was in late 2013 so I'm really looking to keep my data.
I'd appreciate and help / guidance offered.
