VoLTE on Nexus 6 from Verizon topic

I went here , clicked on "Free Products", and found that my Nexus 6 was eligible for HD Voice. I signed up, checked out (for free), and it said that my phone now has HD Voice. The FAQ explains how to verify that it's actually working, as follows:

To verify Advanced Calling 1.0 is ready to use on an Android phone: Open the Contacts app. Tap on the Groups tab. If you see a group named "Video Calling," this indicates that Advanced Calling 1.0 is ready for use. Note: If you don't see the Video Calling group, turn off your phone and turn it back on again. If you still don't see it, verify that the latest software is installed on your phone.

My phone didn't pass that test, but I don't know if that's because I'm rooted.
