I'm modding Safestrap 3.75 to add the capability to install a rom in the unused partitions:
- /preinstall for /system
- /webtop for /data
for now i think to be at a good point and i'm able to install a second rom in these partitions, i do not have any problem with a rom that use a stock kernel (as the stock rom) and the rom boots without problems but installing in these partitions a rom that uses a kexec kernel i'm in bootloop, after the standard kexec vibration the phone bootloops on a black screen.
For now I'm not able to debug this problem and i contacted @stargo and @Hashcode hoping to have an help by them, both have worked on SafeStrap and they surely know much more then me how a kexec kernel is loaded.
In my opinion it should work as it works in the stock solt and for me this is really a lot frustrating.
At this point i think that i should edit something in the logwrapper, the changeslot.sh and the fixboot.sh are correctly working.
In this thread i attached my modded safetrap, for now i removed the capability to use the virtual slots to better debug the problem. I also attached a part of the files that i modded and that are responsable for the boot of the rom.
If someone want help me in this project the he is welcome, i hope to complete it before leaving this phone.
Oh, in this version i also removed the safestrap splashscreen so to enter in SS you have to select BP Tools in the Boot Mode Selection Menu(VolUp&&VolDown+PowerOn).
