flashing problem topic

hi just tried to flash lollipop using odin but got a fail "firmware upgrade encountered an issue.please select recovery mode in keys and try again" ive never seen this before and unsure what to do next,also kies wont install on windows 8 laptop for some reason,its a 64 bit if that helps,need help please as need my phone for work tomorrow....thanks
