[Q] Cannot send/receive texts and many other issues topic

Hello and thanks for the help. I've got a Verizon S-OFF/Unlocked HTC One M8 (USA), and I've been flashing different roms found here for a while now. After flashing a lollipop rom (DH GPE version) I realized after a week or so that I wasn't getting 4G/LTE anymore. I tried switching network modes etc but I could never get 4G. I decided it would be best to do an RUU to get back to the basics and make sure it would still work on the stock rom, but I performed the RUU from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...ewest-t2914914 and I still couldn't get LTE. I then took my phone to Verizon and had them give me a new SIM card. They couldn't get LTE to work either. After this, I flashed an old backup (I believe it was a GPE edition of 4.4.4) and LTE was fully functioning, but after a few hours of use, I couldn't receive any text messages. I could send SMS and MMS texts and they would send/be delivered just fine, but I could never receive any in return. I tried this in both the standard Messages app as well as Google's Messenger- same thing. Many Sense based roms no longer work on my phone. What happens is on the initial boot, instead of going to the "HTC Setup" page, it just hangs on a white HTC Logo where the back and home buttons are present but don't function, the nav bar is visible, I can change volume/use power button settings, look at the lockscreen, but can't get to the home screen. I end up having to use the APM to get to recovery and flash something else.

In a nutshell: NO Lollipop roms will give me LTE, RUU back to stock didn't get me LTE, new SIM didn't get me LTE, most Sense based roms fail to completely boot, old GPE 4.4.4 rom (backup) and other GPE 4.4.4 roms give me a fully functional phone with LTE, but will not receive text messages (can send them) or will allow me to do both for a few hours but then stop working. I should mention that in the Sense based roms that do boot, I can send and receive messages just fine in CDMA mode, but obviously don't get LTE, and when I switch to global, I get LTE but can't receive texts. The last thing I tried was a full RUU and then a factory reset from the bootloader. This didn't work either.

At this point, I would love to just have a completely stock phone that is fully functional.

Any help getting everything working would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much in advance for any help.

[Q] Problem for many - not able to install lollipop OTA topic

As you can see in this forum - many are having problem installing the latest lollipop OTA. What I did -
1 . Unlocked the boot loader
2. Installed custom recovery
3. rooted the phone
4. flashed back the stock recovery so I can install the OTA from HTC.
Nothing more nothing less. Now I am not able to install latest OTA - Phone downloads the OTA, boot in to recovery, starts installing the OTA and than it fails and recovery shows a deadly RED TRIANGLE.
I did thorough research across this forums to fix the issue and I see many people have similar issue.
Available OPTIONS - SINCE my phone is S-OFF so they are limited

1. Flashing the firmware - but coudln't find a firmware which matched my phone's cid and mid
2. RUU - Not sure if I can install it while being S-ON and if yes than which one should match my phone
3. I have lollipop OTA file downloaded and have firmware file inside it. some one suggested get the recovery from firmware zip and flash it. How can I get recovery from firmware zip, file doesnt even get unzipped.

I am currently on -
Software version - 3.29.166.9
cid: VODAP110
mid: 0P6B10000

Any help/suggesstions would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance

[Q] Micro SD card has many pics, except for the ones taken the last day it was used topic

Hello all,

I have a problem with very important lost pictures on the SD card of my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Here's what happened...

I went out for New Year Eve, had a wonderful time and took many pictures. Upon reviewing my pictures, I noticed that about half of my pics were showing a blank icon with a lightning bolt in the top center. I was very upset about this, but said to myself "well, at least I have half of my pictures".

Then I took the SD card out of my phone and put it into a card reader and plugged it into my Windows 7 computer.
Upon doing so, I got the message ".......Scan and Fix (recommended) with the option to continue or cancel. I chose continue and all my pictures were deleted from New Years Eve.

I downloaded and tried 12 different data recovery software and it only found files that I had already copied over; no files from New Years Eve .

I read somewhere that there might be a place where the pictures may be in a hidden file system area under a different file extension and that all I had to do was change the file extension and I would get my pictures back.

Well, after a thorough search, I came up with no files.

I also tried to look for CHK files in order to change the extension, but; much to my disappointment, no CHK files were visibly present.

I have read about dirty bit, hidden partitions, chkdsk, clusters and more; some of which I am not knowledgeable enough to use.

This is a 64GB san disk card that was plugged into my Samsung Galaxy S4.

Thanks much,

duugg
