Memory Issue topic

Hi everyone.
I'm a little confused here. The Xperia E3 has 4gb of internal memory. So why can I only get acess to 2gb of it?
I'm trying to install new apps and it says that I don't have enough space, when I have 200mb of available space and the app only needs 35mb...
Please help!!!!

wifi issue with lollipop topic

Guys after updating to lollipop 5.0.2 stock firmware my wifi wont go off.
Even the wifi wont go off in airline mode.
I have reset the phone but it didnt fix.
Is there any solution to this ?

[Q] Strange issue when updating past 4.1.2 topic

HI there,

My first post and its a question! i'll just begin shall i?

I am currently on 4.1.2 and all is well in terms of everything is working as intended. But when I decided to move up to another firmware such as KitKat or even Lollipop, my phone begins to give off somewhat of a radiation which I feel in my hands! Its quite uncomfortable which forces me back to 4.1.2.

I moved up to:
Firmware: Lollipop 5.0.2 by Cynogenmod Build 14
Baseband Version: i9100XXMS2
Kernel: 3.0.64-CM

Irregardless of what firmware I upgrade to, if its anything higher than 4.1.2, I have this strange issue of radiation which I can feel. Any ideas?
Modem issue? Phone issue? Me being the issue?

So i was texting with my girlfriend when suddenly i got a message on the status bar saying " restricted acces changed" and since then my phone is always searching for signal...i cant receive calls or send sms...i tried to factory reset it but i still got the issue...help please..and i reinserted the sim too...still no luck

FTP issue for chrome and lg g3 stock internet app topic

Hi !! I have a problem for ftp in chrome. Actually I don't have any problems I can download my phone but if the file is as a text it can't download it views in chrome but it can't install. On the other hand, stock internet app can't access for ftp. So stock app is unusable.
I am using this app i can acces all files from the computer to transfer but from the phone it doesn't.
Thanks for your advice.
And I wondered that if it is possible to have root acces from ftp via this app, how can I do that? (it doesn't important for me. Just want to know)

Myself and my partner have recently purchased an Xperia Z3 each running Android 4.4.4 and love it but experiencing a very strange issue with mobile data.

Periodically on both our devices we lose mobile data (no 4G, H/H+ symbol) despite have a good connection. A phone restart fixes the problem but this happens all time and usually when reception is lost and then rejoined. Turning airport mode on does not fix the issue.

We are both on the UK Three Mobile network and have entered the correct APN settings.

Very strangely I have discovered the if I change just the "APN" entry to any random text then go back to mobile network settings the data instantly appears and works again for a period of time! This saves a reboot but the issue returns again once reception is lost :( The official setting for apn is "three.co.uk" but the issue still happens. Very strange that changing just the apn name to anything random fixes it for a bit.

I'm hoping the lollipop update fixes this issue but not holding up hope, any suggestions, or has anyone seen this issue? I suspect this a network issue but have already changed sim cards with no luck.

Also this issue occurs regardless of location and on both our identical devices. Have carried out factory resets too but no joy.

hi there, have been a long time lurker and learnt alot through this site, but ..
i have an issue with a knox flag.. i know its not reversible but, the phone has never been rooted by me.
it was purchased brand new on a contract and developed a charging fault, it was sent back to the service provider who stated the phone was not under any warranty due to this. why would i want to remove warranty on a £600 phone??
it was updated to the latest firmware via kies on its initial supply and has been restored to factory defaults before it went back.
so my question is, how has the knox flag been tripped ?
any help would be gratefully received...

I rooted it and flash custom rom "InsertCoin 4.1.1'. Still S-on. Firewater method doesn't work. And Sunshine method also doesn't work because of the custom rom. It requires stock sense,near stock rom.
I want my phone way it was before I root the device. (Stock m8)

Just to be clear, what I am asking for here is advice on which part I need to replace on my phone in order to fix this.

Here is what happened:
I was trying to make a bench power supply out of an old computer power supply I had laying around. Well when I went to connect the "charge only USB Cable" to the Molex connector I accidentally swapped the wire colors, I meant to use the red (5volt) but instead connected the yellow (12volt) to the USB cable. Stupid and careless mistake I know, trust me... Nothing strange happened other than the phone gave me the "incompatible charger" error. The phone will turn on and function 100% normally so long as the battery is charged via another device. For example I take my wife's fully charged battery out of her S4 and put it in mine, the phone works fine until the battery dies; the battery I swap to her phone charges perfectly fine in her phone so it is NOT a battery issue.

The phone will not charge a battery anymore, with the original charger or the other 3 white Samsung brand chargers I have, nor my car charger. After doing some research online I discovered that it was likely to be a fried USB board, which I replaced today. So the USB board and USB connector are brand new and I am still having the same problem. I also read about restoring to factory settings which I have done and also reinstalled my custom ROM. I reinstalled AFTER the error message began occurring so it was NOT cause by a the ROM update. I read that I may be able to use a wireless charger which would solve my problem, but I don't actually own a wireless charging base and I have no plans of buying one unless it is my ONLY option to fix this.

Here is an exact description of the problem:
When I connect a USB charger of any kind to the phone while it is powered off, I get a black screen and the phone vibrates once every 4 seconds or so and the battery never appears on the screen nor does the screen light up in any way.
When I connect a USB charger or connect it to a PC while the phone is on I get "The connected charger is incompatible with this phone. To prevent damage to your phone, charging has been stopped. To continue charging, use the original charger and cable that were provided with this phone." error message and a battery icon with a red "X." If connected to a PC the PC says "unrecognized USB device."

[Q] Battery drain and slow charging issue in Micromax Yureka topic

Hi android users,
I got a new micromax yureka and am having an issue of battery drainage from the very first day. I just installed few apps like whatsapp, facebook, mx player etc. Sometime later, I observed that my battery is discharging very soon. It seems like, can discharge from 100% to 0% in just 2-3 hours.

I checked the battery status and found that "Media Server" is listed on the top with 51%. For this, I did this:
Settings-> Apps ->All, select Media Storage & disable it. Clear data & reboot. Now enable it & reboot.

Now somewhat battery is discharging slowing but still results are not good. Also, mobile is charging very slowly. (Say <=20% in an hour). I googled other solutions for this problems, but none worked. Can anyone help me in this?

US Netflix Chromecast DNS Issue topic

Hi all,

I live in the UK and am trying to get netflix to cast to my chromecast. I have a chromecast device connected to my TV and it works great. Apart from US Netflix.

I understand that I cannot cast US Netflix "as is" because of the chromecast's locked DNS addresses. I have read quite a few posts and have tried re-routing the DNS, here's what I've done so far...

Router: D-Link DIR-615 (latest firmware)

- Logged into my router and changed the DNS to an american one known to accept netflix traffic (works on my tablet).
- Gone to the "routing" part of my router settings and added the following rules...

Destination address: Subnet: Gateway:
8.8.8.8 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.1 (the IP of my router)
8.8.4.4 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.1 (the IP of my router)

I've rebooted everything but still no joy. I just cannot cast US netflix stuff to the device!

Is there anything I'm missing here or am doing wrong?

Qi Charging Issue; Turns On and Off at 100% Charge topic

Do any of you have an issue where the phone screen turns on and off (and beeps) when it reaches 100% charged using a Qi charger? I am using the official Samsung wireless back cover with a Nokia Qi charging pad. When the phone reaches Charged, it will turn the screen on, then it'll say Charging Wirelessly 100%, then it'll turn the screen off and start charging... and the cycle repeats every 20 second or so. Anyone else?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" [Boot loop] topic

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite and it would only boot into cwm recovery mode so i googled it and tried installing an stock rom using odin but that failed and now it's stuck in a boot loop. It will only loop while plugged in whens its not plugged in i cant get it to turn on, while its looping it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue for 3 seconds turns off then says it again. I've tried booting it into download mode and recovery mode both while unplugged and plugged and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OnePlus One touch scereen issue. Bottom part only affected, and only if I touch it with my thumb.

After a few months of bugless experiense of my OPO use, now is my turn. Touch scereen issue only at the bottom part of it (where the navigation bar should be ). If I touch it with my thumb, then touch became incorrect, sloppy, with some small dead zones. But if I touch it with my forefinger in the same place, then everything is OK.

At first I thought that the case ROM, tried stock,CM11,CM12,ColorOS... no changes.
Then I thought that I had dirty fingers, washed my hands, cut nails - no changes
I thought, maybe is the glass protector issue, took it off - still no changes.

Now, I assume that the problem has something to do with the grounding...
Did anyone similar problems? How you solve it?

need urgent help emmc issue topic

I have a galaxy note n7000 international version 16gb running on jelly bean 4.1.2 ddlsc
I downloaded nightowl cm12 lollipop and flashed it via cwm which was a package of philz touch recovery and root.
I installed it via stock recovery.
When i got into philz touch cwm ddlsc it was giving me status 7 error whenever i tried to flash the rom
So i updated cwm with philz touch XXLTA kernel then it flashed in one go and it booted to cm12 rom.
It was working fine but then i switched off and switched on again it was behaving abnormally and random poweroff.
Then i went into the cwm recovery and wipe data, wipe cache
Then went into download mode and flashed the official 4.1.2 ddlsc rom but i couldnt pass the samsung logo.
Then i booted into stock recovery and wipe data and factory reset again then then device never passed the
Samsung galaxy note gt-n7000 screen,from there it turned off.
I went to samsung,they tried 4 times flashing the official rom but all they could do is
OPTIMISING APPS>STARTING APPS>FINISHING BOOT and again power off and battery appeared.
Then they said that its motherboard failure.
Then i came home,somehow managed to flash revovery by flashing speedmod jb kernel.
Then i started hg42's partition scanner from start to end i.e. from 0 to 16 and passed succesfully
So i dint run end to start or 16 to 0 becoz the first one passed successfuly.
Now i am confused if there is no emmc brick then what is the problem.
Please someone help me,i dint want spend 8000 INR or 130$/
PLEASE HELP AND GUIDE ME TO THE RESCUE. THANKS

CM 11 MMS issue, CM10.2 Camera issue topic

Was trying to find a AOSP ROM that works for all the basics. I have a CSpire phone, but it is closest to Sprint's version. I just modify the build.prop and apns file.

For CM11, the network shows roaming when not on LTE (I think this may be affecting Sprint users as well), and MMS fails (says 'no APN specified on device') when not on LTE. When connected to LTE, both the network icon and MMS work properly. I would be happy if I could just get the MMS over 3g to work, since I am only on LTE about half the day.

For CM10.2 M1, MMS works fine, but it cannot connect to camera. I am assuming this is because my HTC One is newer (got the phone 2 months ago) and has some hardware difference in the camera, and the older camera driver won't work with it. Is there anyway to backport working camera drivers from cm11 to cm10.2?
