[Q] Lumia 920 Setting Backup Not Working topic

I recently started getting notifications that I hadn't backed up my settings in a while. Which was odd because its set to do it automatically. When I looked, it said it was lasted backed up 3 months ago, and when I touch backup now, it looks like it starts backing up, but it gets to around 97%, then says it failed and to try again later. I have tried on mobile data and on Wi-Fi, and I have plenty of space left in my OneDrive account. I don't want to delete the existing backups because I cant create a new one to replace it


Has anyone come across this before and know what the solution is?

i installed lumia refocus app in a SD card 6mnths ago. Now my SD card get corrupted and i changed SD card. In list of app LUMIA REFOCUS is not there. But in STORE, it shows old one and trying to update it and getting failed. Now i cant re install that app in this phone. Anyone give solution to this ya,,

hi anyone please help me with this network issue I'm having on my Microsoft lumina 535 windows fone ... each time I try to switch to 3G network from that "highest connection speed" menu , it displays 2G network instead of 3G and I've tried all other sim cards ... it saysthe same thing and iI've been using edge network which is very slow so please can any expert just give me a code to force 3G network on ... I'm using windows 8.1 by the way and I've tried using that ##3283# code .. it wasn't working so idk if there's any other I can use to force 3g network on .. many thanks

I've just look out a pretty "CreateFileW" function in "Nokia.SilentInstaller.Runtime" file.

It work's over the Standard "DeviceIOControl" access level.(Requires InteropServices)

We can "Copy" any type of file to the any part of the whole OS "AcrossAllPartion".

Having the same 'destName' file will be replace. ;)

I would like to downgrade to WP 8 (from 8.1). How do I get the ROM?

I believe i need the latest with Black and GDR3.

[Q] Lumia 920 Dead, not charging! topic

Hello,

Last night I turned my Lumia 920 off overnight with around 30% battery. When I woke up this morning, I could not turn it on.

I then tried to charge it for 3 hours, and still nothing. I have tried resets and everything. Nothing is displayed on the display at all, not an icon. Just a black screen. Please help, I use this phone for important calls.

[Q] Lumia 920 RM-820 (WP8.1) - Mic does not work EXCEPT for phone, downgrade to 8? topic

Hi, I have done a lot of research and not found an answer.

I have a Nokia Lumia 920 RM-820 (Product code 059N5T3, AT&T, USA). When I bought this phone last year it had Windows Phone 8. Seemed to work ok. I ran software updates and eventually it got to WP 8.1 with all updates. The microphone stopped working. It works for phone calls but if I made a video, talked to Cortana, talked to any other app, etc., it could not hear me.

I would like to make the microphone work even if I have to revert to WP8. I cannot figure out where to download the ROM for WP8. I do have the Lumia Software Recovery Tool, but as things stand now it only wants to flash the most recent official firmware onto my device. I believe that the ROM I want would be the most recent with Black and GDR3 - but I really don't know what I'm doing from experience, just from reading lots of stuff online.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps on Microsoft's site, including a reset which was a hassle. I called their support phone number and they asked me have I tried this, have I tried that, and the answer was yes because I had followed all the steps on their site. They say it's a hardware problem and they gave me the phone number of some company that will fix it for about , supposedly. I think this is a stretch of the term "hardware problem" because the microphone DID work with Windows Phone 8!

I just want to restore this to working order so I can sell it. I've already moved on to a different Windows phone.

SO... can anyone point me to the right place for my WP8 ROM download for my RM-820 (Lumia 920) device? Or can anyone tell me how to solve this microphone question?

I work in PC support for a living and consider myself to have a high level of technical skill. But this is my own personal device I'm trying to fix. Thanks. I really appreciate any help I can get on this.

I am having problem with my Lumia 535 in installing application from SD card. I manually downloaded many apps from Microsoft site & copied it to SD card. But when i try to install it, it shows ("Can't install company app. There's a problem with company app. Contact your company's support person for help"). Also when i try to install any app from Microsoft site directly, it takes me to the login page saying "Because you're accessing sensitive info, you need to verify your password." after login when I click the Get App button i get the msg "We tried sending a download request to your phone, but we did not receive a response from your phone.

SIM-Unlocking a Lumia 625 topic

Hi,

My brother was recently given a second-hand Lumia 625 but it is locked to a different carrier. He has asked me to help him with unlocking it because he doesn't really know anything about these things. Thing is, I have very little experience with Windows Phone. I have unlocked plenty of Android Devices in my time, but I cannot seem to find anything helpful with regards to unlocking WP devices.

I have noticed that the original carrier could possibly unlock the device if my brother asked the original owner to get them to do it, but the fee is extortionate and I am not sure they would do it if the contract is over.

So, I thought I would ask here since I know that if anybody is going to know this sort of thing it's going to be XDA Developers. Is it possible to do this? Are there any tools out there than can do it? Googling turns up very little that is useful.
