[Q] Question about app dev with Phonegap and using native functionality topic

I'm interested in building/having built a real estate app for IOS and Android and want to utilize the native Compass and GPS functionality but develop a hybrid app using Phonegap and, perhaps, AppGyver's Steroids development tool. Is this feasible? Are there any concerns or limitations that I should be aware of? I've been told that building in HTML5 is the more cost effective way to go but want to make sure that the functionality that I require (use of GPS and compass features) can be realized without having to develop native-specific versions. Would love to hear back with any info and advice.

json2view - Update native Android UI on the fly topic

Hey guys,

today we are releasing an internal tool called json2view as open-source and we'd love to hear your thoughts or see your contributions.

Basically, json2view is a simple library that can convert a compatible JSON file into an Android view so you can load dynamically the view in your Android app without the need to update the APK.

This removes the hassle of updating, re-compiling and uploading the APK to Google Play everytime you want to make small or big changes in the UI.

You can check the Github repo:
https://github.com/Avocarrot/json2view

Cheers,
George

[Q] Install native Linux onto a Lenovo A2109 tablet? topic

After a lot of Googling I've found a few tutorials for different devices, but a general lack of anything on any subject at all for the A2109. I'd really like to natively install a desktop Linux distro (Ubuntu seems like the best option) onto the tablet but don't have a huge idea how. If anybody knows how to do this, as in any existing tutorials or how to build my own version or whatever, I'd really appreciate it.

I have an 8GB SD to go with the tablet and access to both a Windows and Ubuntu machine.
