Cyanogen Recovery? topic

Any one get CM's proprietary recovery working? I see the option to update Cyanogen Recovery in CM12's developer options but nothing happens. At the moment I can't update CM12 from the phones about menu. The installation aborts in the recovery. I've tried the latest versions of CWM, TWRP and PhilZ.

I wonder if the recovery just isn't available for the GS4 yet.

Galaxy S5 and Cyanogen 11 issues topic

Hi all,

I'm back to using cm11 after tinkering with cm12 nightly's and am pretty content.

I installed the Ktoonez kernal last night and added a few different profiles to try out as I'm not one to twesknindiviual settings myself.

I added the ktoonzified v2 and wow my battery life has increased ten fold and i also think the performance has increased. I am so stoked as this was a bit annoying previously swapping batteries all the time or using the device while plugged in to charge.

Anyway one thing i would like to know is what is up with the IR blaster not working? Its not a huge issue but before root I was using a Samsung remote app (not samsung stock) as the TVs in my house are mainly samsung. I've come to live with the fact that NFC is not operational and the kernal tweaks seem to have turned it off rather than greyed out and on in settings so this doesnnot seem to affect the battery as much as before.

If someone with more experience than myself (which wouldn't be much) could explain to me why it is not working, if I have done something to cause it to not work or if there is a fix. Is it a known issue with flashing cyanogen ROMs on galaxy s5 klte.

I can definitely live without it but I would just like to know a bit more about why this issue occurs as I can't seem to find any info what so ever about others having the same issue.

Cheers.

Installing Cyanogenmod using Cyanogen Recovery? topic

Hi,

I'm trying to install Cyanogenmod on a Sony Xperia Z2 Wifi tablet and am following the directions on the cyanogenmod wiki (using the most recent nightly), but unfortunately I loaded the 'boot.img' and instead of taking me to ClockworkMod Recovery it has taken me to 'Cyanogen Recovery'. In this Cyanogen Recovery I just can't see a way to install Cyanogenmod according with the directions.

I'd really love some help, as for now my tablet is unusable and I need to use it!

Thanks!

Bybe Bye Cyanogen topic

I now refuse to use any Cyanogen products/mod/OS.
Microsoft is investing 70 million dollars into Cyanogen, Inc.
Cyanogen, Inc. is now threatening to wage an OS war with Google.
Honestly i've used CyanogenMod since 5. They are going the way of companies such as RedHat. Remember them?
Sad sad days.
The magic is gone. :(

[Q] Installation crash for Cyanogen M11 topic

Hi everybody,
I need your help... I'm a total newbie and training on my good old Galaxy S I9000.
I followed many guides but always get stuck at the same point: when installing the CM 11 (tried M10, M11, M12) the open robot with red triangle appears, reboot and all over again.
Below the sequence of steps of the last tentatives:
1) install stock ROM I9000XWJW7_ITA_ValuePack_Gingerbread-236 with Odin, ok
2) install ClockWorkROM recovery CF-Root-XX_OXA_JW4-v4.4-CWM3RFS via Odin, ok
3) copy CM in the external SD
4) start recovery, wipe cache, data etc
5) launch installation
6) red triangle...

I tried two different stocks and related recoveries, everything works perfectly unless the CM installation.
As it happens always exactly at the same point I guess I'm doing something specific wrong, but really cannot figure out what.

I would really appreciate some help.

[Q] Cyanogen ? topic

Hi, everyone !

I actually have a Galaxy S4 and I want to upgrade to Lollipop. I aware that Samsung is going to take loads of time upgrading S4 and so, I hesitate to go under CyanogenMod 12. So here's my question:

Would it be ok to go under CyanogenMod or should I wait for S4 to be updated ? What are pros and cons to go under CyanogenMod 12 ?

I'm not sure what i'm gonna lose or win.

Any advices ?

Stock OPO, No Fastboot, can only enter Cyanogen Recovery topic

Need some help.

I am usually pretty good with working with firmware and software issues.

I have a friends OPO which they had issues with and somehow got it into a state where the only thing it seems I can possible do is get it into the stock Cyanogen Recovery.

I tried going into fastboot (Vol Up. + Power) but this yields no result it always ends up booting into cyanogen recovery.

As far as I know (with this friend not being very technical) i doubt it had an unlocked bootloader, or even USB debugging on prior to the crash.

The only way I can get the PC to recognize the phone in ADB mode is to enter the Apply update section and hit apply from ADB which puts me into ADB for sideloading.

If I could get it into Fastboot I would be able to move forward.

When it boots, I see a quick flash of some sort of error/failure screen but it is so quick I cannot identify the image.
