[Q] Update failed - HTC Droid Incredible S topic

Hi everybody !
I've a problem with my Droid Incredible S.
I was making an OTA update but, it failed and the screen stucked on a sort of 3 arrows arround a phone. I can't boot the phone or do anything. I'd like to know if the phone is completely ruined or if there is a hope to repair it. :confused:

[Q] Cannot upgrade droid dna ota topic

Hi All,
i have been at this a few weeks , so finally posting a thread.

i came across what appears to be a pre-release device (new in box) and want to get it updated ( it had a pre-release OS loaded - version 0.68ish )
i managed to force an update to 1.15 with the RUU image .
the device now works fine, but it will not look for OTA updates. When i manually try to check, it flashes briefly it's looking and then nothing happens.
i have tried reloading the RUU and hard resets to no avail

i tried loading the 3.06 RUU out there, but the RUU fails as it is apparently incompatible with a straight upgrade from 1.15 and i cannot find a 2.04 or 2.06 RUU anywhere to be able to stair step the upgrades up the ladder.

i would like to get this device upgraded to the newest os version. not exactly sure how to do it. ( not sure if i have to root, then upgrade to a certain point then unroot or what. ) i would prefer to end up with a non-rooted device running the most current factory version

i DO NOT have a Sim card installed, (but cant believe that would be an issue- then again its verizon so i guess i actually wouldn't be surprised )

Best way to clean my Droid Turbo topic

So what's the best way to clean my Droid Turbo? I need to start doing this on a regular basis, too many germs out there. Is it safe to wipe off the screen/phone with an alcohol wipe? I know the device has a water resistant nano coating so I'd think this would be OK. Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Pic of Dead Droid with ! after firmware update attempt topic

I recently got my TF701T back from repairs and they of course factory reset it (they put a new battery in). We all know it needs factory reset for that right? Anyways. I do a check for updates and nothing. I know I was running 4.4 previously but updater says no updates and stuck on original. So I start reading and download the latest US 4.4 firmware directly from ASUS, unzip it and put in main directory (verified mine was US) and reboot. Says all is fine, would I like to update, yes, reboot and I get the Android gear guy for about 10 minutes then it reboots. He shows up again and dead android shows up.

Now it just loops forever to this. I spent about 5 hours reading forums here, attempted a restore, but 1. the recovery.img link is bad and 2. my tablet isn't rooted.

Any suggestions? I can access the fastboot screen that gives me "RCK, Android and "Wipe Data". I tried Wipe data 3 times, no good still getting dead guy. I tried copying the latestest zip file to an sd card with boot.img and blob and file and ran RCK and it says match then reboots then dead guy again...

the fastboot screen says "released by: "US_epad-10.14.1.45-20131014" which I believe is the original.

[Q] Droid RAZR HD Bootloop, Help! topic

Help! my Motorola is stuck in a boot loop. It only shows the red M and stays there. Its the VZW_XT926 (vanquish).
I tried partition wipe and a factory restore. I also cant get the unlock key to unlock the boot loader.
Fastboot works and i can enter recovery (stock). -Not rooted -not unlocked

Free HD Dock with Droid Razr MAXX in San Diego topic

As I recall, this HD dock works with both the MAXX (my old phone) and the non-MAXX version, although I don't have the spacer anymore (if there was one) for the non-MAXX version. Should still fit either, though, even without the spacer.

Free to anyone willing to pick it up. I live in South Park, San Diego.

I also have the phone to give away . It still works fine, except that the battery is bulging, so you'll have to replace the battery if you want to use it. Or, you could disassemble it for parts Otherwise, it's going in the battery recycle bin.

Droid razr xt912 no os installed soft bricked topic

Hi guys as the title says i have bricked the phone . i had a working liquid smooth rom v3.2 kitkat 4.4.4 installed using safe strap v3.73 but could not utilize the stock rom slot so i wiped it without backup intalled the custom rom it gave an error i didnt look at it and booted now i cant go back to safesttap
Only to boot menu selection which includes recovery ap fastboot bp tools etc . really need help guys and the battery's dead cant get it to charge

How to remove Droid X2 Bootstrap Recovery? topic

How do I completely remove (or disable) the Droid X2 bootstrap recovery app ( MOTODX2_Bootstrap_signed.apk )? I searched, but did not find instructions specific to this particular recovery app on the Droid X2. Uninstalling from Applications menu is obviously not enough because the phone still boots to recovery menu if plugged into power.

Red exclamation mark and bug droid in recovery topic

I restored the twrp backup of 5.0.2 from a thread on xda for xt1068. But when I booted into recovery from bootloader my phone's twrp recovery doesn't shows up instead a bug droid with an red exclamation shows. I tried flashing latest twrp.img via mfastboot method but that was of no help. Everything goes fine but the recovery shows warning Android symbol. Help needed!

I tried holding the volume up button for 10 seconds and then pressing and releasing the Power button while volume button still pressed when the warning shows but that doesn't helps either. Should I flash custom recovery once and then again try flashing twrp? I need to restore my twrp backup of 4.4 so that I could get the official update.
