Galaxy Grand Prime can't flash new firmware topic

Hello everyone I need help I can't flash the latest build of my phone using odin. My phone is rooted and knox is already tripped. I tried 2 firmware on my country odin says fail auth! on the phone it says secure check fail: aboot. I can only flash the same firmware on my phone but unable to flash newer builds. I tried using different usb port using 3 different usb cables flash the same firmware to remove root still cant flash any higher build. I read somewhere that when knox is tripped you cant flash any knox enabled firmware? is this true? so I am doomed on flashing newer build firmware??? :( pls help.

Hi Guys,

Been a long time lurker here in the forums and I've had quite a few devices already. But now, I got some challenging obstacle that won't make me sleep! :eek: lol! Anyway, I just got a Samsung Grand 2 from China Mobile - Unicom (found it on an online site for a very low low price ), unfortunately, I can't root it properly :( , Here's the specs:

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7106)
Android Version - 4.3
Bootloader - G7106ZNUANK1
CPU_ABI - Armeabi-v7a
Hardware - Qcom

I tried using Tower Root, Framaroot, but didn't work.. I tried CF Auto root (via Odin) , actually, it appeared as pass, but when I run root checker, its not appearing as it was rooted. :confused:

This is really challenging for me, but I already give up after days of sleepless nights Google-ing and trying various stuffs. I hope you guys can help me out here. Even if I can just run Google play store properly, that would be great! (tried various APK's, but didn't work as well, seems that phone is blocking it since Google is banned in China)

I have following situation:
- broken screen and touch is not working
- usb debugging is off
- password pattern lock combination when entering phone

I need to backup contacts and pictures from phone somehow and I don't know how.
When I connect mobile phone to computers with usb cable it only gives me zte usb drivers to install nothing more,after that I don't see my phone..

Is there any solution to extract contacts and pictures from my phone???
Is there any solution thru recovery mode to update/install something to give me option to backup everything(contacts/pictures) from phone ???

hi everyone, i have a problem with my galaxy grand i9082
3 days ago i upgraded the android version from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 with odin and it worked, some minutes later they asked me to make an update, and i did it.
since then when i turn on the phone, it shows a screen with the name of the phone and it keeps restarting.
when i enter in odin mode, a red error appears and it says: Current cMM firm version
i can't enter to the CMW recovery mode. and i can't flash the phone with any version of odin or recovery i tried all the rooms but they all failed.

Guys I have a Galaxy Grand Duos, rooted, installed cm12 by pawitp, over i9082ddubnb1 basenand...

whenever I made a fresh install of cm12, it works preety well for upto 1 month, then it startet lagging, even after cleaning cache partition....

I also feel the same problem with my uncle's grand, stock unrooted with bng1 firmware...

any sollution to this

I bought a Chinese Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT-I9118) and much to my regret it has frustrating limitations. I really want to use a custom mod, but I don't know which phones have compatible hardware. There doesn't seem to be a CM that applies specifically with my model.

Are all S IIs the same?
Are all I91xx the same?

And most of all, can someone point me to a site that may have this info?

I looked for months and I can't find anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) stuck in Recovery Booting after firmware update via ODIN topic

Ok am new here and have to admit that I've had a pretty long day trying to figure out what exactly went wrong with my Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) after flashing the 4.4.2 Official firmware I downloaded from sammobile to the device using Odin. The process is successful, no errors whatsoever from Odin but when the device restarts it shows the usual Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 logo with some tiny blue text at the top "Recovery Booting" and from there nothing else happens.

I have tried to flash the firmware again using a different PC, USB cable and even Odin version but I get the same result. Previously my device was running Android 4.3 and I wanted to upgrade to Android 4.4.2.

So you know, I have even tried flashing a number of custom recoveries such as CWM and the likes to no avail, I either get: "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" or "COULD NOT DO NORMAL BOOT".

Please help me out guys, I have flashed countless Samsung devices with Odin before but I have never encountered such a situation, what could be the problem here? And better yet, how can it be fixed?
