Wallpaper Scrolling in Lolipop topic

Is there any way to enable wallpaper scrolling without using any mod or third party launcher in touch wiz lollipop ROM?
Like editing seclauncher and enabling it?

hi i have one lg g2 ls980 with zvc firmware. it is rooted with towelroot and twrp installed with autorec.apk.

i want to install lolipop on it but not finding any right guide as i am not sure that i can install lolipop directly on zvc or not.
so kindly guide me. thanks

[Review] Current State of Lolipop topic

Because i had to much Time on my Hands i finaly decided to install MultiROM and play around with Lolipop.
I'm not a huge fan of Lolipop because ART blocks Xposed module and you cannot modify system yourself (easily anymore) but need pre configured ROMs that fulfill your wishes. But still i've tried out a few ROM's at this date and tought i'd share my Opinion.

Base System:
Main ROM is a Sony Stock .167 preRootet with AndroPlus kernel v21
MultiROM allows for various other rom's to be installed.

Installed Lolipop ROM's
CM12 infected_ build 2015-02-04
PAC Alpha1 build 2015-01-30
Candy5 RC v0.9.5 build 2015-02-03
Paranoid Android Alpha1 build 2015-02-02
SlimLP Alpha 0.91 build 2015-02-01

You can see the different size here: (Note! No GAPPS installed! Pure empty ROM)


NOT installed Lolipop ROM's
AOSP => Well i haven't found out how to install .img files.... guess i'll have to fastboot, create backup via TWRP and install this as 2nd ROM.
Validus 7 => Fails to boot for me. Seems to work fine with MultiROM if you have CM12 based MainROM
Any other i'm missing ?

Current Situation with LoliPop
Mostly everything is working fine. Pictures work in Full Resolution and video Recording works in 1080p. Mobile Data and Calling works...
There is no Official Sony LoliPop release yet therefore no goodies like 4k Recording and other stuff we know from 4.4.4
Just a simple an plain Lolipop.

CM12:
The Performance Setting is simple and you can tweak Status Bar and Notification Drawer.

The Performance Setting allows for Min/Max CPU clock and Governor.
The PAC-Settings include Animation Control, App Circle Bar, Gesture Anywhere and a WakeLock blocker!

Candy5:
Simple Performance Profiles, The Candy Interface settings allow you to change SatusBar, NavBar, Notification Drawer, Lockscreen Shortcuts and Buttons. Gesture Anywhere included.

PA:
The development of PA for 5.0 just started recently. Therefore there is no big customization included yet.
But Gestures and Button control is already included.

SlimLP
SlimLP is really slim, you have controls for StatusBar and Quick settings, thats about it. The Performance setting is also just chose Profiles.
The DPI do seem a little higher so all menue points are smaller than on other ROMs. (App Drawer also has 5 apps per row instead of 4)

Conclusion:
LoliPop on the Z2 is still in a early Stage of development.
Even though everything seems to work and you can easily use it as daily driver the question remains: Do you really want that?
Me myself i might even use Official Sony LoliPop only as 2nd ROM and keep 4.4.4 with Xposed.
I really don't want to miss ActivityForceNewTask, ChromePie, Complete Action Plus, CPU Temp in StatusBar, Nativ Clipboard and a few other Xposed Apps.

Does ART need to be wiped time to time, like we used to wipe Dalvik before?

If yes, TWRP (2.8.4.0) still has the 'wipe dalvik cache' menu option under advanced wipe, what does it wipe on Android 5.0.2?

Have you noticed Andoid is upgrading - optimizing app takes considerably longer now?

Moto g2 exclamation mark beside network icon after Lolipop upgrade.

After the upgrade to Lolipop, my internet on the sim seems to be not working. I get a exclamation mark on the network icon and the same stays for long. After sometime the internet starts on its own but only for about 3-4 hours before the exclamation mark comes back on. After doing a bit of research, i found that if you insert a completely new sim on the phone the internet issue is resolved temporarily(may be for a day).
The network works fine on Wi-Fi.
Kindly advise!

Lolipop S5 Benchmarks / GL to SD working? Worth it loosing XPOSED? topic

I was hoping to stay on 4.4.4. Can anyone on Lollipop comment on the smoothness of the device after the upgrade. I am using the debloated Eclipse rom on 4.4.4 Has anyone done a benchmark before and after? Is there a big difference when you upgraded from 4.4.4 in application switching?

I have over 200 games installed using "GL to SD" that app works flawlessly for me. It is just a dream come true with a Samsung 64 gig microSd card. I am afraid a lot of the games wont be supported and I will run into issues. I am especially afraid GL to SD won't work at all, as there is no mention of support from the author. Not to mention loosing access to XPOSED framework probably permanently.

I am probably going to stick with a 4.4.4 Rom for awhile. It doesn't seem like a huge update to me. Can anyone comment on that. Does the Lollipop upgrade make a big difference for you?

Hello you guys I have a s-on rooted M8,I am trying to apply an OTA update halfway through red triangle appears. When I go to the menu I can see the following error:
Package expects build fingerprint of htc/vodafone_uk/htc_m8:4.4.4/KTU84P/392065.9:user/release-keys or htc/vodafone_uk/htc_m8:5.0.1/LRX22C/457188:2user/release keys; this device has (my device's code)
As far as I can understand there is a mismatch of build fingerprints.
Without going s-off how can I fix it.

PS:I am still rooted but flashed custom recovery..

[APP][No Root] new Walkman app with Lolipop look topic

Today I downloaded newest version of Walkman app via Sony Update Center app.
App is very good and have new look :p
I only sharing this app :good:

New features:
- new fresh look like in Lolipop or new Youtube app
- new album art
- new icons
- new launcher app icon
- you can use other equaliser from google play
- navbar size fixed, now you can have any navbar size without editing nothing
- smooth scrolling and fast operations

Bugs:
Maybe this is only for Existenz 4.50 rom, because can't open audio settings, so before installing new Walkman set audio settings.
Perhaps you can open audio settings if you have stock rom.

Installation:
Install like normal app, you don't need root.

Enjoy new Walkman ;)

Stock Moto (xt1003). Black Screened a day after Lolipop topic

Updated the moto g and was successful. It was used for a couple of days before the error cropped up.

Now, it boots up but goes to a black screen after the boot animation. However, it still connects to the computer and I'm able to see the phone and its files in explorer. Beyond that, I can't interact with the phone because the screen is totally black. (adb doesn't work because (i think) usb debugging was not enabled.)

Additionally, I can access the bootloader, but selecting 'factory' or 'recovery' isn't doing anything - just black screens with every option.

The phone was perfectly fine for a few days after the update. (The phone is unrooted and unmodded and was running stock at lolipop update.)

I have no idea what to do. Help would be appreciated.

Recent apps Lolipop topic

I was wondering if I'm the only one really pissed off because of the new recent apps in lolipop.... Sometimes it takes 2 or 3.5 sec to show up... And you can't call that '' multitasking '' ... Its lame...i bet m8 will "fly" in multitasking with new Android 5 if in Kitkat it was blazing fast...
I love lolipop because it's lag free... And I'm serious about that... But our s5 lacks speed.. When u open dialer (it should be instantly) ... When we open recent apps... And so on

I was thinking that maybe... This slow recent apps it's because of that general issue with lolipop... '' memory lack " which Google it's trying to fix now...

I just got one of my friends a verizon GS4, but she has T-mobile as service. She likes the look of lolipop so I thought Id try to use a lolipop rom on the phone. If I did install one (Looking at that google play edition project one). Would her t-mobile service work on this phone still?
