ROM Signal lost?? topic

After installing custom roms like Cyanogen or paranoid etc. I lost my IMEI and unable to recover. So I flashed recovery again and back to normal. I did researched and tried a lot of times but still lost the signal. I am using Samsung i9300 (s3).

I also tried to use EFS pro to restore IMEI. However there are no effects.

So how can I solve this issue with custom MOD? Please help.

My friend took his phone to a store to unlock his phone to other networks and they failed and the phone has no imei now. Is there a way to recover it?

[Q] HTC Sense Keyboard Emoji History Lost topic

Hi guys. Every now and then seemingly at random, the emoji history (recent emoticons used) for the HTC Sense Keyboard is cleared. Seems to happen every few weeks or so. I'm running everything stock and still waiting for the Lollipop OTA. I use Hangouts, Whatsapp, and Facebook Messenger. I'm not sure if one of those apps is somehow clearing the emoji history. Of course this is really a small bug, but I was wondering if anyone else is getting this? I saw one user report the same behavior on Google Play when reviewing HTC Sense Input.

Lost data connection topic

I have Galaxy note 3 sm-n9005 16gb
i tried to update it to android 5

but its says FAIL .. image file too big.

so i loaded this file

but the phone didn't work .

after too many tried too many file, i got it back working with these files

Im lost. Its been a long time since i browsed through this forum. I have my at&t m8 running slimkat 4.4.4 and twrp 2.8.1.0. Cant seem to update twrp, stuck on entering recovery. Right now i would like to update to lollipop but i dont knw where to start. Can someone please pin point me the procedures. What i need to do prior. Thanks in advance

Lost LTE and stuck on E topic

Hello everyone! I've had my Nexus 7 LTE for over a year and ALWAYS got solid LTE on this device along with my 6 other 4G LTE lines on AT&T. But.. When my Nexus 7 LTE got the 4.4.4 ota update it doesn't go past Edge speeds and always has an "E" in the status bar. Pre 4.4.4 it NEVER went below LTE. I've tried a ton of different apns, new sim cards from AT&T and finally last night flashed dirty unicorns 5.0.2 to see if 4.4.4 was the issue, but still only getting E. I've always kept it on LTE preffered and tried 3g and 2g also.

Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do to fix it? Just pisses me off because this is essentially a WiFi nexus 7 now. Is there a radio fix anyone knows about, a ROM, maybe going back to bone stock (which BTW, I've never even rooted this device prior to last night hoping maybe a lollipop ROM would fix the issue.. So this is not caused by me tinkering).

So if anyone has a fool proof APN setting (although I may have tried them all), a way to switch my cellular network from E to LTE in about phone or ANYTHING. I've been dealing with this issue for the past few months because I have the nexus 6, 9 and 10, but want LTE back on my Nexus 7.

[Tip] For people having issues with lost recoveries topic

One of my buddies introduced me to an app that's free on Google Play, I don't know about anyone here but I myself am new to the Sony Z Ultra and my biggest issue I had thus far was with a custom recovery. If you are on a locked bootloader head over to @[NUT] DualRecovery thread in "Android Development" its on the first page. If your Sony Z Ultra is bootloader unlocked this will work for you. This also requires that the ROM you are on has a kernel that supports this method. Most custom AOSP ROMs for us have this feature built in to the kernel. The app is called Rashr, you MUST already have root access and a form of Superuser or SuperSU installed and working as it will ask for root upon launching the app...

I lost recovery a few times and I was stumbling around in learning best methods to go about things with the ZU and this did the trick and you DO NOT need a PC!!!!!

Launch the app permit root and this will give you the option to flash a recovery from the device storage, you can also download a recovery of your choice whether it be ClockworkMod, Philz, or Team Win. It confirms the device model in our case "Togari" and will flash the recovery and confirm its flashed within the app and give you the option to reboot to recovery when done.. If you have concerns you can actually backup your existing recovery and also existing kernel and you can have multiple backups not just one of each.. You can also rename them as you see fit and they are saved as image files. Example being recovery-from-20150129.img or kernel-from-20150129.img etc etc...

This may be redundant or it may not, I posted this here because I've seen some people like myself posting there issues with lost recoveries and there has been random replies and some of which were vague.. Also this is the Q&A and "Help" section and I'm just trying to offer some help!

hey all,

I have att on my fire phone , and every now then(atleast once a day) I lose service. It would say searching on the signal bar and it never finds it lol. I would have to restart the phone and then it reverts back to normal. is anyone else having this issue?

[Q] Lost data connection, trying to determine cause topic

I have the Sensation 4G, S-Off, using the Official SlimKat build 8.0-WEEKLY-6966, and I'm using the T-Mobile SIM through Straight Talk. I haven't had any problem with the phone or data connectivity before, I just had to scour the internet for the proper APN settings after buying the phone. That was a couple years ago.

I still have the ability to call and text, just no data connectivity. There are seven APNs available under "Settings", and when I switch to any of the others the phone picks up 3G/4G signals. I just can't connect to them since they're for different carriers like Metro PCS, T-Mobile, and Walmart Mobile. The signal disappears when I switch back to my carrier's APN. According to Straight Talk Support I'm not being blocked and I haven't gone over the 3GB monthly limit.

I'm going to T-Mobile tomorrow to see if anyone there will try their SIM in my phone to confirm the radio is still working.

My only other thought is that the problem is somehow software related. I haven't done anything other than update a few apps, but I didn't notice the problem until it arose the next day. It's been like this since Sunday.

Thoughts?

Lost Contacts but Backed up sdcard topic

Question I lost all my contacts well actually a friend did he didnt sync his contacts with google and did a reset i did however had him take a copy of his sdcard before he did a reset on to a hard drive anyone know if somewhere contacts are restored maybe in a xml file ?

Just lost half of the pictures moving from on-board to SD topic

It is running CM 10.2.0-skyrocket and I just wanted to make some room on the phone for my senior mom by moving pictures to SD card and to my surprise half the pictures, if not more, is just a pixelized mess or just gray box.

Is there a way to recover the original pictures on-board storage?

I have installed custom ROMS before and internal memory has never been deleted, but this time it decided to disapear apparently. Is there some way to recover these files? I've tried the "undeleter" app from the store but it doesnt find anything. :( It's the pictures from my gallery i want back.

[Q] WiFi Passwords keep getting lost topic

Does anyone have any ideas why my rooted S5 would lose the stored WiFi passwords if I manually turn off WiFi? Once I turn WiFi back on I have to re-enter the password for WiFi networks and that doesn't seem right.
