[Q] What's the deal with CM11 topic

So I see sai dev saying that he wants CM11. People say it's hard to do, he says someone can do it. Then, he opens a thread about CM12 then just says delete. THEN, he opens a thread saying he has made CM11 for the TN7 but we have to wait a month for it to actually come out. It comes out, people complain, then BAM. The thread is closed for him not having the kernel source code. He creates another thread. BAM. Closed, no kernel source code. THEN he "makes" (more like renames old zip file to tn7 roms" an AOPK ROM. I think we all know why the thread was closed. My point is, IS a NON-FAKE NON-BUGGY version of CM11 coming, or will we just have to wait for official device support? Or, is it just not coming at ALL? Im very confused. I know these roms are most likely trolls, but seriously, whats up with this? Thanks for noticing. :good:

[Q] What's the best way to control app permissions in Lollipop topic

I've always used Xposed and XPrivacy but since that isn't an option right now, what's the best way to control app permissions in Lollipop? I'm willing to flash custom ROMS to do this. One thing is Facebook is very good at getting around Location blocks, and I don't quite trust them with my location. So blocking FB locations is my test of the method succeeding or failing.

[Q] Is this what's known as "bricked"? topic

A while ago my phone started to restart itself for no good reason. Then it got worse and it starts randomly resetting itself (factory reset). To solve this issue I tried to do a manual factory reset myself, and the problem persisted.

I can deal with these random restarts, but then one day as it restarts it got stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S3" screen. I tried to do another factory reset in CWM and clear the cache, but it says "E:\cache\...." isn't mounted. As I investigate further it seems the reason that it can't boot might be because the memory is not mounted I guess?

I can boot into Download mode and CWM perfectly fine, so I decided to try to flash the Stock Recovery and Stock ROM through Odin. Connection between Odin and the phone was set up fine, but then it stopped at this error message "Complete(Write) operation failed." Flashing either stock rom and recovery yields the same error . It simply can't write to the memory it seems.

Now I'm stuck at this start screen. I've heard flashing a PIT file might be able to fix it, but I have no idea what that is.

Is the phone bricked? How do I fix this? Should I use the Rescue Firmware in this post? It would be great if anyone can help me since I have been asking for help on other forums but got absolutely no response...

Hey boys,

Finally i decide to upgrade my Xperia X8 (from the last android official update) to a new version. I past the day reading guides, looking videos and finally i got my:
* Bootloader Unlocked.
* Rooted.
* xRecovery v0.1 Installed

Now im trying to decide wich version should i try to upgrade. Some people would say as a first shoot i should upgrade to 2.3.7, but i would like to install a newer version of android like 3.X or 4.X if possible.

My question is, there is any problem if i try to upgrade from Android (2.0 or 2.1) not exactly sure to a newer version (Android 4.0)?

Wich guides do you recommend me to follow, i think that the newer versions ask you to install something called kernel, but 2.3.7 doesnt right?

But I don't know what the next step is ? after I run the command "adb reboot recovery", what do I need to do for the next step?

i installed whatsapp the last version and the whatsapp web option showed up
and after i click on ok , i got it and try to scan the code nothing happens
its still change the code on my pc and whatsapp qr scanner dosent do any thing
i tried to scan the code with other qr scanner and its works fine
