I'm looking for some complete Android programming books, especially they should provide:
- Fresh informations (regarding to Android 5 api for example)
- Android Studio and not Eclipse as IDE for all applications, example projets etc, especially Gradle configuration, IDE configuration etc.
- Solid and complete informations about all aspects and all apis, and gui (including material design and all latest Lollipop changes).
- Complete guide, from easy things for beginners to advanced aspects

I've already done some research, however I can't find any interesting item to fit my requirments. No Android 5 informations (programming for Android 4 only), always Eclipse as IDE, no Android Studio etc. Do you have any tips for me what to choose for buy?

Making the most out of the camera topic

Hey guys, would just like to start a discussion on tips/tweaks that are possible on the edge's camera. I'm by no means a professional photographer but would like to learn how to take a good photo from a smartphone. Maybe someone who is pro and in the know can help.

Tbh, its not like edge's cam is bad but I envy the iphone 6's camera performance especially in too bright (they just come off darker) and low light (not bright enough) scenarios. This is most apparent when I try to take a spherical/panoramic shot with google camera, the sky wont just have the same 'brightness' when the spherical photo is stitched completely.

It seems Ip6 users can just take good photos effortlessly. In dark scenarios, ip6 users have that feature where you can just click on the area thats too dark and it magically becomes brighter without spoiling the overall photo quality.

Spec wise the edge's cam should be superior so imo the edge cam can perform close to if not as good as the ip6's with the right settings/tweaks. So hoping someone can share their knowledge regarding this. Thank you.

Hi!

Got my Tab S yesterday. Never been a fan of touchwiz and all bloatware from samsung.

But since I mainly will use this one only for watching movies during travelling, im curious knowing if stock samsung rom is the best/stable one for batterylife etc.

If so I guess I can live with the bloatware and stock rom.

But if not, what other options is there?

As I said, I will 70% use it for watching movies and other 30% using the internet browser.

Hey im still running Android 4.4.2 CleanRom and its been a while since ive been around. I feel a bit outdate and was wondering what i should upgrade to. Not looking to do nightly's as i do not have the time, just looking for something new and stable. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Most protective case topic

I am about 90 percent certain I will get this phone. I've searched around and all these 'best' case threads for the last month IMO are useless because they don't have any requirements other than being the 'best' case people subjectively feel about them.

Here's a much better question, as I am looking for the 'best' protective case for this phone?
bulk/weight is not much of a concern. I want to know what you all think is the case to get to not have any worries about dropping it from say 4 to 5 feet on hard surfaces. Like all day dropping and not break a sweat. So far my searching has come up with:

Most Stable Nexus Rom topic

Hi guys,

I've rooted every phone/tab I've had but just haven't gotten around to rooting my Nexus 6. Can anyone recommend what they believe is the most stable Nexus 6 Rom? Don't want to keep Factory Resetting because a ROM isn't stable to stay unencrypted.

Also, how is CM12? At some point I will flash and stay on CM12 or Paranoid Android but just don't know how stable they are at this point in the development.
