Metal band topic

After a few months with this phone, somehow, the metal band that was once a joy to look at...well, looks like crap. There are scratches all over it, and it's not appealing at all. I can only imagine trying to sell this phone next year after people get a glimpse of it.

So, my question, is there a way to polish this up, or touch it up in any way? Polish? Something to restore it's original shine?

Any help would be appreciated! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know this!
