Problems SIM unlocking my S4 topic

Trying to unlock my phone, currently stock running 4.4.4 Ifound this website that has steps towards unlocking the phone. There is also a few youtube videos. However, when I try it, I get stuck on options 7. After Ii nput 1, it stays in the Servicemode screen. I can not see the screen where I can select {1}UMTS. Any ideas why? Everyone who unlocked it was running 4.4.2, does that have something to do with it?

1Open the phone dialer
2Dial *#0011#
3Press Menu
4Tap Back
5Press Menu and open the Key input
6Enter 1 and press OK
7Press Menu and tap Back
8Tap [1]UMTS
9Tap [1]DEBUG SCREEN
