[Q] My phone has lost it's mind topic

Ok, I'll try to keep this short. I haven't had any luck finding someone who has/had this same problem (albeit similar) so I'm not sure what is going on.

I am on LS-KK-3.2. So I'm on the way to work, listening to a podcast via MX Player. The audio starts glitching really bad and I can't get my screen to turn on at all. I wait and wait and finally I get the lock screen to come up but I can't get the screen to respond to my finger, leaving me unable to unlock it. Glitchy audio is still going on, I long press the power button and get the menu to pull up. I click Power Off and for some reason it works. Turn it back on and all looks fine. Only problem now is every time I get 5 minutes into a podcast via MX Player it reboots. Then after that it reboots almost instantaneously after opening MX Player again. If I do a battery pull it will last 5 minutes again, reboot and then reboot over and over until another battery pull.

In between then and now I've wiped multiple times, gone all the way back to stock and back again only to have the exact same problem happen regardless of how or what I do anything. I finally installed plasma kernel and uninstalled and reinstalled MX Player and it worked although my whole phone was really bogged down and slow compared to normal. I also get a random red screen that won't go away without a wipe/restore and some other goofy things that happen (home button and power button won't turn the screen on and have to pull the battery, in-call phone volume is very quiet and won't respond to sound hardware modification, phone locks up often and have to pull the battery and restart).

I am only a dabbler when it comes to the in-depth stuff of how these phones work. Do I need to send this out to be repaired? As stated, I've gone back to stock, wiped, rooted, re-wiped, etc. and nothing has seemed to work. Only prolonging the time until it goes nuts again.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
