Help with using an RUU topic

I have an HTC One M8 and I'm running a Viper One M8 2.5.0 I'm thinking of going back to stock and I was suggested to use an HTC One Sprint RUU specifically the one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2729173 . I just want to know if this is completely safe and will not destroy my htc one m8.
