i updated my att m8 firmware using one of the guides here. and installed a lollipop rom. i lost signal. and when i install cyanogenmod 12, it tells me that my simcard is not detected. restoring back to an att nandroid backup (4.4.2) helps with the signal. but now everytime i install a custom rom, i get the same issue back.
right now i went back to stock sense and updated software to 4.4.4 over the air. im currently rocking twrp. i just want to remove sense and install a aosp rom. but everytime i install any custom rom, even the one (slimkat 4.4.4 rom) i was using prior to updating firmware and having this issue doesnt work anymore. no signal at all.
my question is: is this a common issue? i googled it and i havent seen any info about it stating its a common issue.
what can i do to remedy the issue?
