Just wondered If its the same speaker unit on the Galaxy Ace S5830i as on the S5830 because I have a S5830i with the speaker working but sound only coming out of one headphone (and yes I did try other headphones).
So I ordered a new speaker unit, fitted it and both headphone speakers worked but no sound out of the speaker.
Figured I had recieved a duff unit and as they are cheap tried two others with the same result.
If I refit the origional unit the speaker still works so no damage done during fitting.
The only mod to the phone is its been rooted but the fault had occured before I rooted it.
Its got me scratching my head, any suggestions
