Coming from Samsung topic

Hello everyone. When I started enjoying smartphones, my first love was with HTC. After some time of quality issues across many of their phones, I made the switch to Samsung. I must say, while I was always impressed with Samsung during the warranty period, it became clear to me that the phones don't hold up much longer than that... and in the case of my S5, made several visits to the repair shop during its warranty period.

My question is this. Should I even give the LG consideration? The G3 has been around a while now so there should be some good input at this point. Am I just trading one evil for another? Or is there much more to look forward to if I make the switch? Also, how difficult is it to root? And if I root, is it possible to undo that so there is no trace in case I need to send it in for warranty?

I would especially like the opinion of folks who have played with both the G3 and the Samsung line.

Nexus 6 coming tomorrow topic

Guys I just have a question,
I will be receiving my nexus 6 tomorrow and I plan on unlocking the boot loader and rooting it, but what I am curious about from reading all the threads is a few things.

1) I plan on using adb to unlock boot loader and root
2) I plan on using flashify to install twrp so i can be able to get a backup of the stock recovery

My question is this. I plan on installing cm12 on my device and i like the idea of having my device descrpyted. I am told I have to flash the script I believe made by chainfire, but i also read u can flash another kernel. Which would i have to do? I read some say that u have to do the one made by chainfire first, and others said u just have to flash another kernel.

Also since the cm12 comes encrypted as default and lets say I "dont" want to descrypt do I have to before I flash cm12 even though its set as default encrpyted just like stock?

Nexus Player no sound coming from TV topic

Using my Nexus Player on my Vizo 4K smart TV and not getting any sound from anything played by the NP. Google support wasn't any help and I ended up RMAing the NP just in case it was a faulty device. Got the new one and having same issues so it's something with my NP/TV combo.

Also did do all the normal troubleshooting steps (differnt HDMI ports, different cables, verified that my cable/port worked by plugging in a console, factory reset). No external speakers so just tv speakers. only thing i didnt try was another TV.

Anyone have issues like this? Anyone running off a 4k and/or smart tv no problem? What are some other options?

[Q] Crackling/Popping sound coming from my galaxy tab pro's speaker.HELP! topic

So i bought my wife a tablet for school. However we keep hearing this crackling sound/popping sound coming from the speaker when playing youtube videos, playing games such as jungle heat. It is really annoying because when we are watching videos we can hear the sound. If anyone could help us, I really appreciate it.
