Multi User.. topic

i have a question .. Please Answer it if you know ..
i have rooted my N900 on 5.0 and added some line on Build.Prop to enable Multi user .. i have deleted lots of system apps from my system before i added the lines on Build.Prop. i have created the user and Voila all system apps are back ?? how is this possible ?? after deleting system file i got them back on another user ?? where the exact location of the system files ?? i was thinking it is in / system/app.

[Q] User pic, bug? topic

Hi, probably I'm a little rusty but I can't find anything related to this:

Installed the latest alpha on my N4 and I can't set a user picture from the gallery, I know that it's a little detail but I like the details :p All I wanna know it's if this is a bug or something else, on stock I didn't have that issue.

As always thanks a lot and continue the awesome work, we miss you guys!

[23.0.1.A.5.77] Debloated, Deodexed, Zipaligned, Rooted, Super User Mode - 28/Jan/12 topic

Just exactly what the title of the thread says... nothing else!

TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Requirements:
- Z3 Compact (any)
- Running rooted 23.0.1.A.5.77 firmware
- Recovery

Install:
1. Enter recovery and backup your current rom (good practice)
2. Download flashable zip
3. Enter recovery and flash it
4. Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache (and Data - optional)

List of removed system apks:

/system/app/

/system/priv-app/

What you can also manually remove with Root Explorer:
- All apks inside these folders:
/system/etc/customization/applications/
/system/etc/product/applications/

Newbie 1020 User with ? about PFD and flashing newer firmware topic

I know this is over a year later but just picked up a Rogers unlocked Lumia 1020.
Mainly to use as a phone when travelling or when wanting something with good camera.
Like it so far.
Question I have is I noticed that there are slightly newer software versions out from different carriers still with RM-877.
Is there any value in getting the tools and flashing them over what I have?
I have uninstalled the Rogers bloatware apps and not really heavily branded otherwise as it only shows it is a Rogers device in the about screen.
Advice?

Also are people installing the developers preview?
Benefits?

Lilipop (CM12) mounting a filesystem as root (not accessable to any other user) topic

I have liliopop CM12 installed on my Note3, I have a encrypted partition, which I mount using luks, I have the mount working now with out issues so the encrypted part can be ignored, if any one is interested I can explain how I did what I did and post the actual scripts used.

The problem is that if I su - from juicessh and then mount the partition the partition is mounted, but only the juice su'ed user can see it. I can log this user out and back in and still see it, but only this users sees it.

For instance
$whoami
10211
#su -
0
#exit
$whoami
10211

now if I run:
$su -l --shell /system/bin/sh -c 'mkdir /storage/sdcard2 ; chmod 777 /storage/sdcard2 ; mount -t ext4 /dev/sda1 /storage/sdcard2 ; df ; exit' ; df
Now this will show that /storage/sdcard2 is mounted when I'm root
when I'm non-root (AKA not ID 0) then I do not see the mount.

Now I login as root using sshdroid:
#whoami
root
#df
does not show sdcard2

Lastly via "Root explorer":
does not see anything mount in /storage/sdcard2 either.

So the issue I'm facing is that I can mount a partition as root and access it, but only as the user I mounted it as, in fact what even makes less sense is that root via sshdroid and root via juicessh can not see what the other user did (mount wise), though if I create a root accessible file that is fine. I used to do this is CM11 using the same commands (different mount points do to the OS change) without any issue. It is as if each root user is unique which is fine on the surface, but since I need access to this encrypted partition, only when accessing documents for work, which normally it is not mounted, but once mounted I need it to be accessible as any other sdcard. Any suggestions?

User Interface : remove EMUI, use pure android topic

Hi,

I buy this smartphone but... I think that "EMUI" is worst interface never seen on a smartphone...
So I have the fist Huawei HONOR and we could disable the "huawei interface" and get a pure ANdroid 4.0.4 interface.

I can't find same thing on ASCEND P7.
==> Do you know how to disable this interface and get pure Android interface on it ?
