[Q] Nexus 6 ROM/kernel porting possible? topic

Need to upgrade from a Nexus 4 due to its sluggish performance and just bad experience in general. This is basically the only phone in my price range with guaranteed instant Android updates, but the only thing stopping me is the lack of custom ROMs and kernels. I understand you guys like having the closest-to-stock experience and don't fancy custom ROMs and kernels, but is porting ROMs and kernels from the Nexus 6 a possibility? I'd love to get one, but 9 is way too steep for me especially with the atrocious camera for the price. In addition, from now to Saturday the no-contract Moto X is 0 off on Moto's site. Sadly the offer doesn't include Nexus 6...
