[Q] Nexus 6 ROM/kernel porting possible? topic

Need to upgrade from a Nexus 4 due to its sluggish performance and just bad experience in general. This is basically the only phone in my price range with guaranteed instant Android updates, but the only thing stopping me is the lack of custom ROMs and kernels. I understand you guys like having the closest-to-stock experience and don't fancy custom ROMs and kernels, but is porting ROMs and kernels from the Nexus 6 a possibility? I'd love to get one, but 9 is way too steep for me especially with the atrocious camera for the price. In addition, from now to Saturday the no-contract Moto X is 0 off on Moto's site. Sadly the offer doesn't include Nexus 6...

[Q] Use Mobile data while connected to wifi? Is it possible? ? topic

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere. I want to use upnp for streaming video over a wifi connection that does not have Internet access. But of course, once wifi connects, mobile data is disconnected.

I was just using hotspot to create a link before. That worked just fine for streaming media that was already saved on my device, but is frustrating for streaming online video as Sprint times out my data connection every 15-30 minutes while hotspot is active. That problem seems to be only with my HTC One, because I've never experienced that before. But it can't be solved.

So my question is still, how can I stream media over wifi using cellular data? Are there any files I can edit to prevent the mobile cutout when on wifi?

Hello everyone. I flashed my one m7 over to boost using samsung s2 as donor. Everything is working except 4g lte. I understand that at this point I cant get 4g lte with this donor but now I'm considering finding a cheap 4g lte donor and giving it a shot. I'm sure it can be done i'm just unable to find any definitive answers or steps on how to do it. Can somebody here tell me whether it is possible and how I might go about doing it?

So, I'm in a bit of a jam over here. I was flashing a new recovery and I thought everything was good, so I clicked reboot recovery and expected the new recovery to come up. I guess something went wrong, because it's stuck on the first screen with the blue recovery text. I do not appear to be able to boot normally, every time I try, it tries to go into recovery and can't.

I can get into download mode, but I'm having trouble getting ODIN to see my phone.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Does anybody know if it is possible to fix and fit G2 display and replace it to G2 D802 display?
My G2 D802 display broke down so I ordered and bought new one in US. Unfortunately and accidentally I ordered G2 display which had one joiner (that connects display to upper computer) too long to fit the gate of D802. In attachment photo shows that left side have D802 computer and new G2 display, right side is old broken D802 display.
Is somehow possible to connect G2 display to D802 and phone still working?

Hello i'm kind of new to this so please don't be to harsh ;).

To run Android TV, android 5.0 would need to be ported first thus me titling this "Is it Possible to Android 5.0 / Android TV on Raspberry Pi 2?" However my main subject / me making this post is to see if Android TV on Pi 2 is feasible.

I was thinking would be possible to run Android TV on the new Raspberry Pi? I ask this because the specs of the new Pi 2 are quite impressive and I can totally see this becoming popular as I can imagine a lot of people would go out and buy a Pi just to run android tv on it (me being one of them) :D. This would be great as not only would it provide a large install base for Android TV (which in turn up the developer support) it would make it so almost anyone can have a cheap chrome cast type of device with a functional GUI. I don't know if this is possible but doing some research I can't see any reason why it would't work and it would make for such a cool and inexpensive android tv box! :good:

Possible short comings would be:
Lag due to low clock speed
Lack of a remote (possible use of a bluetooth controller or a smart phone app to control the box using wifi)
Poor Gaming capabilities?
Probably a few more.

Hi guys

I was a really happy S4 user before I let it fall in the ground before my S4 died I backed up everything also EFS.
Anyway I bought a new Note 3 from a other country and the problem is the dealer told me that he changed the motherboard or removed the IMEI for some reason well I don't know exactly what he did with it and here I question is it possible to use the EFS of mine S4 to the note 3?

PS I still have the S4 and both of the phones are legal bought and I also don't know if I'm at the right topic

Guys I saw video editing capabilities of Note 4 are awesome !
Just that we can set video effects (Oil Pastel for example :) ) only for 10-19 seconds max.

I wish someday we could set it to as long as video length.

Anyways , can note 4 gallery be ported along with 'visual studio; & 'video trimmer' for our beloved G3?

Recently my phone has keep popping up ads that take over my screen, and I have used so many ads detector and antivirus and i couldnt found out what is happening.

Then i found out a suspicious service is running in the background and it seems if i disabled it, the ads wont pop out, which is "com.google.devices", i wonder how do i completely remove a service?
