[Q] Hard Brick Samsung Galaxy Trend topic

Hello everyone !

It's been two week since i've hard-bricked my samsung Galaxy Trend (which is really smilar to galaxy S3).
I've looking for different solutions but i haven't found any that correspond to my trouble

Situation :
- Hard brick by trying to instal TWRP by dd command.
- No "Samsung logo" on boot
- No recovery
- No download mode
- When plugged to a macbook, it's detected as a usb modem, the kernel is able to read some data about it (Manufacturer, Product ID etc...)
- When plugged on a pc running linux, it does appear as a USB, also able to read informations about it etc....
- Does not appear as a USB device -> no /Volumes or /dev/usb...
- I'm abble to get access to the PCI directory on Linux

Solutions tried :
- Boot download mode -> No Download mode
- Find an unbrick_img to put on sd card, i don't find any debrick img or a galaxy trend, should i try to use the S3 ?
- Try to mount it as a USB device, but I'm not able to find how tou mount it

Solutions not tried :
-JTAG

Then flash the zip file, using any custom recovry.

This ROM is tested on Nokia x, but not on galaxy trend, but probably it should work on both
I am not responsible for your phone
But i garenty it will work perfectly on Nokia X without any bugs

Why Am I Posting This? :confused:

1. For those who brick there phone very often they could keep it on their phone and flash it any time they want, they dont need to run to there pc everytime they brick their device to flash firmware.


2. For those who are trying to port different roms to this device can use this one as the base rom.


3. For those who likes the feeling of stock but are very upset with there experience (this rom is fast and less laggy).

How to install this rom?

1. Download and save the rom on your external sdcard


2. Install CWM recovery for your phone


3. Reboot into recovery mode, this can be done by pressing Volume Up+Home+Power Buttons


4. Use volume up/down button to navigate


5. Navigate to install zip from sdcard


6. Choose this by using power button


7. Again choose the "Choose zip from sdcard" in the list


8. navigate to the rom.zip and choose it (replace rom.zip by the name you have saved it on your sdcard)


9. Choose - "Yes - Install rom.zip"


10. And BOOM you have successfully flashed the rom

Next: Getting root access.

1. Once you have flashed rom turn on your device.


2. Wait till your device gets fully configured.


3. Open SuperSU.


4. Now it would ask you for a binary Update.


5. Press continue.


6. Now it would ask for how would you like to intall the SU binary.


7. Select TWRP/CWM.


8. You will again be prompted with a message that the phone will be rebooted into recovery mode.


9. Press OK.


10. Now your phone will reboot in recovery and the process will take place.


11. You may be asked to disable stock recovery flash.


12. Just select "Yes - Disable recovery flash".


13. Now your phone will reboot.


14. And now you have successfully gained root access to your device.
