[Q] What makes a N8000 a N8000? topic

I'm one of many unfortunates who managed to flash the locked N8000 bootloader onto my N8013. I'm far out of warranty and have no interest in Kies, so the only real problem I'm experiencing with N8000 ROMs is some apparent battery drain when the tab is uselessly searching for a cell signal.

So, what I'd like to do is identify the components in a N8000 ROM that make it think it can have a cellular connection and remove them. I'm on the ragged edge of my technical skill and not sure if such a thing is possible, but it might be worth at go since there appears to be no way to get back to my 8013 bootloader.

Is this a realistic idea, and if so, what do I need to pull out of a N8000 ROM to disable the cell part?

[Q] when charging phone makes a noise topic

Hello

This started recently(about a week ago) When i charge my phone with the standart supplyed HTC wall charger, when the phone is charged to 100% the phone is starting to make wierd noises like loud high pitch/whizzing noise. While it's not 100% its not doing that. The interesting part is that it's not doing all the time, but time to time, like it goes loud and then sound dissapears, then again appears like pulsing... and yes its coming from phone inside not the charger.

Took my wife's M8 charger that came in the box and my mini does the same noise.

What could it be? The noise is hard to explain, but especially in nights it can be heard when its quiet and phone lies across the room on the table charging i can hear the wierd buzzing when i try to go asleep, and im worried if there could malfuncion something or can even explode? Do I get it to warranty ASAP? :laugh: but again it will be hard to explain this abnormally...

Always using my standart HTC charger or wifes m8 charger(not the fast charge, but standart charger) with the standart usb cable that came with it.

[Q] Att Edge makes duplicate contacts when synced with Google contacts topic

Help, my att Note Edge creates multiple duplicate contacts when it syncs with my Google Contact account (my phone's contacts list shows 2,500 contacts
where as my google contacts shows only 280 contacts - which is the correct number of contacts). Also I get a notification message saying that Sync was
unsuccessful because "Too many Contacts deleted. There are 1019 deleted items for Contacts, account ....... @gmail.com. What do you want to do?" Do any
of you have a fix for this problem? thanks

[Q]Xposed module for fake shutdown makes buttons unresponsive topic

Im looking for a xposed module that would let me have a fake shutdown but that would leave the phone running without turning on the screen even when pressing buttons.

I tried the advanced power menu+ and it does have a fake shutdown, but after the 10s of (fake)shutting down message, if i press the home button on my s5, the screen still lights up and shows the pattern to unlock.

What i wanted is one that after showing that message and shuts down the screen, it doesn't light up again when pressing the home or side buttons and the only way to restart it is to remove the battery /pressing the power button for a few seconds or something along those lines, that way in case the phone is stolen the thief will think its off and i will still be able to track it for a while longer. Is there a module for that?
