[A] Screen mirroring fix TouchWiz Roms topic

☆☆☆☆Fixing screen mirroring ☆☆☆

Information on what the fix for screen mirroring needs changed can be found here. . http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2542509

This writeup tells you how to edit the libWFD_ENGINE.so file and what utilities needed if you wanted to get into doing it yourself. .

Do not use the libWFD_ENGINE file posted for the n7100 on the sprint note 2.. (I tried and it killed my 4g so always rename the files for backup reasons. .)

The file I ended up using was pre-edited you can find it in the Op of the Community rom thread done by JLMANCUSO located here...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2785110

For those who don't want to sift through the Op posts the file is also located here...
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=18604

I tried flashing the fix in phils touch but it failed... I ended up extracting and pushing the file with root explorer. . The end result is successful working of screen mirroring. ..

[Q] Screen Mirroring Aspect Ratio topic

Hi All

I am loving my new Nexus 9, but with a couple of issues.
The main one is that I screen mirror to my chromecast alot. The problem with this is being a 4:3 screen, my widescreen TV just has big black bars to the sides.
Is there anyway to force the tablet to be wide screen, where I will get the black bars on the tablet but then will be full screen on the TV?
Or is there anyway to stretch the output on the TV?

[Q] HDMI Mirroring quality topic

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way to improve the actual output resolution when mirroring the screen?
I bought a HDMI cable and the mirroring works great on CM11, but it is being upscaled from the low-res screen of the Droid4 to my 47" 1080p TV.
I tried the SecondScreen app but all it does for me is change the dpi and by that make stuff even worse on the tv.

[Q] Mirroring help topic

Hello,
Hope you guys can help?
I have just got a Panasonic Veira TX-40AS640B and I have a nexus 6.
The TV has a mirroring function on it but cast screen does not pick the TV up.

Am I missing an app or do I need to use chromcast or similar??

The message on the TV reads:

Viera_txas640b_dc1b

Input devices such as a smartphone or PC display the screen to viera.
Please select viera as a output device after wireless connect mode is started by input device.
Please refer to instruction of input device such as method of connection

Waiting connection from input device

Any help appreciated
