Xperia T suddenly won't turn on ( or charge ) topic

Well Today I last remember I installed a theme. And maybe went on fb
After a hour or two after my phone was like dead
I won't turn on. Can't charge ( no vibration , led )
If I hold it even for a minute it won't turn on !
I tried to connect to flashtool
but my debugging is off.
I can't flash a ftf , nothing

And if it can be fixed somehow on a service how much would the repair cost

We need to develop software program to behave and act like a google tv box or android tv box. Emulator software to turn my PC into a Google TV to input to HD TV via usb! Just an idea ... but would be an awesome hack!

Lollypop - How to turn off lock screen notifications topic

Just installed Lollypop on my new M8. I can't find a way if turning off notifications on the lock screen but leaving them working on the notification bar.

The help says this.

"Lock screen notifications
Choose the types of notifications to show or hide on the lock screen. Go to Settings, and then tapSecurity.Under*Lock screen, tapNotification settings.Choose whether to show or hide notifications such as missed calls and text messages. "

But on mine, there is no "Notifications" under Lock Screen, just "Incoming Phone Calls". Has my install gone wrong? Do others have the correct menu item? Is there another way of turning off lock screen notifications?

HTC charge OK but not turn on topic

Hi bros,
Please help me with my uncle HTC incredible S (Vivo) phone (it used to be mine)
After overnight charge, the screen turn into blue/green, after restart it doesnt turn on anymore (as he said)
Here is the case:
- Charge OK: Plug the charger, the LED light on: Red (Charging) --> Green (full charge)
- Cannot turn on: Press power --> Vibrate once and nothing happen (even plug/unplug charger)
After that, the LED light not work (when plug charge) until remove the battery
- Try new battery --> the same problem
- Connect to PC: the LED twinkling (blink) with red light, no connection from PC
- Power + Volumn down --> Nothing (only Power --> vibrate--> nothing)
- The phone is Rooted, and my uncle just use it for browsing and game, nothing else.
Any help? I try a lot google search and find the similar post from 2 years ago, but unsolved

[Q] Nook HD+ won't turn on, tried everything topic

I was using my Nook HD+, when the screen suddenly showed lines all across it and froze. I had to push down the power button for 8 seconds to shut it down. Then could not turn it on. Tried all possible combinations, power, power+n, power+n+volume up keys for 5 seconds and for 30 seconds each time. Still not turning on. I tried plugging it in (although it had about 40% charge left before the screen froze) and noticed that the charging indicator glows green. If I push down the power button for 8 seconds, the light goes off, but if i press the button again, it comes back on. I've tried all the methods I saw on internet, except for draining the battery because the post suggested keeping it in a fridge, which I'm hesitant and also not in a position to do. Please help guys. I'm at a total loss.

[Q] Magnetic car mount causes screen to turn off topic

I have the Logitech [+] drive magnetic mount in my truck. When I attach the Nexus 6 to the mount, the screen turns off. If I try to turn the screen on while the phone is magnetically attached to the mount, the screen will immediately turn off. As soon as I remove the phone from the mount, the screen will come on. Does anybody know if there is a setting that controls this behavior or any kind of work around (i.e. Tasker, etc) so the screen will stay on when attached to the mount? I would like to use the phone for navigation, but that is obviously out of the question unless I use a non-magnetic mount or just leave the phone loose in the console, which neither option is preferable to the ease of the magnetic mount. Any help is appreciated.

Screen won't turn on at all. Can get into Download mode. Screen stays off. topic

As the title explains, I can get into Download mode but screen wont turn on. I flashed Prism Barebone KK ROM and it's been like that since that. Luckily I know how to get to Download mode without the screen being on. I am flashing stock KK I grabbed from Sammobile right now but what if it doesn't work? Prism ROM does have that no bootanimation bug.

It's not a battery issue, I have 3 stock and one extended battery thats fully charged. So def not battery.

xperia sp wont turn on topic

hello my friend, recently i got my phone out of my pocket. i realized it was off. i tried to turn it on but nothing, then i pressed the off button on the back and it went on. stayed on for a couple of minutes, then the it frozen, the screen faded and it went off again. i left it the whole following morning charging, when i came back it turned on, stayed on for a couple of minutes (a little bit more of the previous time) then again same thing. if i charges it has a red light (sign that it is charging) if i disconnect the charger and try to switch it on it flashes 3 red light then it stops, and then again three red lights. i tried to charge it via computer but it wont be recognized, i also tried volume up and power button, volume down and power button, and the off button on the back. at the service center they say it cannot be fixed because it is out of warranty since the screen as been replaced by unofficial service. after a bit of charging it turned on today, but soon went off. i need help, i would at least want to know what the issue is. thanks a lot. ps. i can manage to let it work

I cannot turn on my Samsung G. Alpha. It charges, and the display shows the battery icon and the "charging animation", so the display works.
The notification light also works (is lights up green)

I have tried removing the battery - but that's about all i tried before running out of ideas.
I can open it if necessary

*Note* The phone has been exposed to some water, but I am pretty sure it hasn’t become wet inside.

Any suggestions?

Cannot turn on Wifi/bluetooth (Sorta) topic

Hey guys, kinda run into a problem i have never had with my billions of android phones. Yesterday i ran into a problem when i was coming home from school, My wifi nor bluetooth could turn on, when i hit the button to turn either on, it stays on the "On" switch for a good 5 seconds. my moto x 2013 (4.4.4) was kinda also running hot and the battery drained super fast that day (Also My facebook messenger app used 150mb that day, i only Recived one message without responding :V), i let it sit on charge for maybe an hour and i was able to turn the stuff back on eventually, now today its happened once again and makes my Smart watch useless when there's no Bluetooth :v Any help? i have read that it might be a modem problem and all i would need to do is flash one but im on stock not rooted :v verizon 4.4.4 cant be rooted at this moment.

Just got my D800 in and was wanting to put a custom ROM on it. So I started off by rooting it with Stump Root.

I then wanted to put a custom recovery and rom manger didnt work and so I tried TWRP Manager. I selected the wrong phone, the LG G2X and it rebooted and will not come on now.

My questions are how do I fix this and get a custom rom on it?

Request: Turn Stock's .207 Emojis into CM's Emojis topic

Hello guys, I have both a question and a request.
I recently downgraded to stock (tired of lag in CM's roms) but the Emojis are too damn ugly!
CM's emojis were colorful and had a nice design, Stock's emojis and black and white and some of them you can't even recognize.
The question is: Is there a way to change Stock's Emojis into CM's Emojis? If yes, how?
And if not, can someone make this possible?

I mean, is not the end of the world but is nice to have good emojis :silly:

[Q] Xperia ZL won't turn on, No LED topic

Hi guys,

I have an Xperia ZL that won't turn on. No response to holding Power button + Vol up or Vol down buttons for 10 seconds. No response to holding little yellow OFF button underneath back cover for 10 seconds .

The phone is connected to known good charger for many hours but nothing happens, no red LED light, no lights at all, no vibration, no screen activity. The phone is not detected when USB plugged to PC running Sony PC-Companion.

Are these symptoms of dead battery? Or when its a bad battery and connected to charger should there be at least red LED or some activity?

Can this be a hardbrick of motherboard? Has anyone fixed their ZL by grounding test point? Do we know what is the correct test point for ZL? I look but can't find in the test point thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2646405

Please any ideas to diagnose what is the problem of this Xperia ZL and what to try for fixing? Thanks for any help!

My M2 wont turn on again, but i can go in CWM recovery
its in a kinda semi-off state and the screen is black but still like on-black. so its still shining, also i can only reboot my phone when i attach it to a computer and run ''adb reboot bootloader''
is it bricked? because i tried clearing the cashe and restoring to factory settings, can somebody help me fix this?

my xperia acro s not working at all i don't know actually why, i just tried last night to get in to the CWM recovery window so i turned my device off into the fastboot when the blue light comes on after downloading
''kernel.elf'' and opened the commo window, i wrote ''fastboot flash boot kernel.elf'' after that my mobile not turning on or charge and i'm now stuck with red light when charge it, actually i tried everything to get it back but there's no response :/ please guys anyone can help me? i miss my walkman :crying::crying:

Widget to turn the screen off topic

Since M8 doesn't have option to turn the screen off by double tapping on home screen (I really don't know why), I've used a widget on KitKat to turn it off. Today I've finally updated it to Lollipop, and I have problems with it.
I have Smart Lock enabled (with face recognition), and when I turn the screen off with widget, and turn it on again, face recognition doesn't even start. Only if I turn it off with power button, then everything works. I've tried several widgets from Play store, but all of them have the same problem.

My question is- does somebody know about wigdet that doesn't have this problem? I would be very grateful if someone knows.

Phone Bricked/Won't Turn On topic

I've been trying to partition my External SD card so I can use it for Link2SD. I don't have an SD card reader so I tried using the adb + parted command. I was following this tutorial but then I realised that /dev/block/mmcblk0 was my Internal Storage and not my external SD. I deleted the first 5 partitions on there and my phone isn't charging nor turning on even though it's fully charged. Have I completely broken my phone?

I currrently have a Galaxy s5 sm-g900v. Two days ago, I flashed Alliance rom via Safestrap and everything was great until my wifi starting acting dumb. It refuses to turn on, just hangs. I have tried flashing the modem, and Blaze kernel, hoping it would fix it, but no luck. I unrooted and Odin'd back to complete stock, and it STILL won't work. Somebody please give me some pointers on how I can fix it :( Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
