[Q] Touch screen not responding topic

I have a problem with my touch screen.. Sometimes it just not responding any of my inputs and sometimes it just "touch" anything he wants without me touching it.. first place it happened was while charging it with a "chinese 5v/1.2A" charger because i don't know why my original charger exploded.. (It was so loud that i thought something hit the ground..)

The problem dissapeared when i stop charging the phone.. until 2 days ago..

I was undervolting the cpu a little and when i finished the test (with no errors..) my screen when unresponsive at all.. the power and volume buttons worked, even the hardware buttons in the front but the screen wasn't working at all.. Turning the screen on and off for a while do the trick but only for a few seconds..

It happened in stock rom and artmod rom.. but i don't remember too well if in stock rom i was in solid kernel too or not so.. I really don't know if it's hardware of software problem..

Any help please.. ?

Hey fellow SHIELD owners,

I'm sure most of you have already experienced the issue: you put your SHIELD away, then come back later to turn it back on, only to find that the touch screen simply isn't responding.

Well, I found a (reliable) workaround.

For the more technically inclined, touch processing is partially done in userspace on the SHIELD. For that, a small service is running constantly in the background; it's called "rm_ts_server".

When I encountered the issue again I was a bit frustrated; I checked logcat, and then had a hunch: what if I kill rm_ts_server and let the system restart it. I did that and, yes, it worked! I had touch back, no need to reboot.

So how can you make this practicable now? I used Tasker. I added a profile for "Screen On", and a shell command task that simply kills rm_ts_server (it will restart itself immediately, giving you touch back).

If anyone has a different means for restarting the touch screen server please share!

Lock screen not responding when charging topic

I have a N9005, and i discovered that when the charger is connected, it will be very hard to almost impossible to unlock the lock screen with swipe.

I can see the animation when swiping over the screen, and have since disabled the animation to no avail, but the screen won't unlock.

Occasionally I may succeed in unlocking, if I hold my finger on the screen for a few seconds, then swiping with a slight pressure. Once unlocked swipes on the home screen will work, though sometimes with little stuttering.

I have stock rom and recovery, rooted using the Towel root method.

Once I disconnect the charger everything is back to normal.

Any advice?
