[HELP] Sensor problem topic

I've been playing some racing games and whenever the tilting option is selected, the car steers hard left (landscape mode). Then I also tried temple run and it goes to the right a little bit. Seems like my sensor is badly calibrated but my problem is, there is no calibration settings (currently using Carbon rom 4.4.4). I've already tried those calibration appa but nothing is working. Perhaps maybe anyone can help me, I was thinking if maybe someone can upload the calibration settings config file from GB rom and then maybe I can run it on my phone through terminal emulator? Or maybe you can give me some ideas, Ive been triyng to fix this for weeks already and read topics and threads anywhere but haven't found any solution yet. .

Gravity (or Magnetic) Sensor out of calibration topic

When I hold my phone vertical (portrait or landscape) to take panorama or photosphere photos it's out of alignment and I have to downward it to the earth to adjust the horizon line to the middle of screen! In another word if I hold my phone in ~80° its sensor behave like it is in 90°. Attached photos shows the problem. I have rooted my device with official 4.4.2. I couldn't find any helpful guide about how to initialize or calibrate accelerometer or G-Sensor. rotating phone in 8 path, rotating around all 3 axises, restarting device didn't help.
Please help me how to solve this issue. I don't want to reset factory device right now. I've access to all system files if needed. Thanks

Broken touch sensor connector topic

I received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with a problem. The former user broke the PCB connector for the touch sensor and all that is left in the board are the pins but not the plastic case of the connector.

I want to remove the pins and solder a new connector but I have difficulties in identifying this connector and getting a part number to order it.

I know it is a FFC connector with 80 contacts, 0.4mm pitch and two rows but my search for a connector of these characteristics has been unsuccessful.

Can anybody help me?

[TASKER] Help with proximity sensor conditionals and wifi profiles topic

Hi
Tasker begginer here.

I'm having some minor issues with Tasker that I was hoping you could help me sort out:

I use Greenify and I was having a little problem with autohibernation feature in my unrooted Nexus 5: The screen has to turn on in order to automatically greenify something. This is a problem when the phone is in my pocket or facing down on the table because it conflicts with Gravity Screen (this app turns the screen off -and keeps it off- when the proximity sensor is active and the device is in a particular orientation), so when the phone is in my pocket or laying face down on a surface, Greenify can't finish its job because Gravity Screen will quickly turn the screen off.

In light of this, I disabled the autohibernation feature in Greenify and made a rather simple group of profiles to control it from Tasker. The main profile, the one that calls the "Hibernate now" shortcut from Greenify, is triggered when the screen turns off and has and If condition. This is the logic of that if:

- If
Proximity sensor: Not active
AND
Screen off
- Then
Run task

I do this to make sure that the hibernate action is not triggered while the screen is on or while the proximity sensor is active. Since Tasker doesn't have a variable for monitoring the proximity sensor, I made a profile that sets a variable (%PROX) to 1 when it's covered and 0 when its uncovered. So the if conditional uses the value of %PROX.

The problem is that if I turn the screen on WHILE the proximity sensor is active, Tasker skips the if statement (as it should), but if I turn the screen off with the proximity sensor uncovered and then cover it, it'll run the task. It's as if the profile that sets the variable %PROX to 1 does not work while the screen is off. Is this normal behaviour? How can I make this work better?

I managed to sort this out by deactivating Gravity Screen at the beggining of the task and reactivating it at the end (with a little waiting to give Greeenify time to finish), but I still want to keep my screen off while the phone is in my pocket.

My other doubt is regarding a group of profiles (that I got from here) that turn Wi-Fi on whenever I'm near two locations using the cell tower and Wifi near state in Tasker. I made some minor adjustments to these profiles, but they're still basically the same. The problem I'm having is that, most of the times, these profiles won't do anything if the screen is off. For example, I have it set to recognize cell towers near my house (and of course my Wifi connects automatically). Let's say I get home and I haven't used my phone in a while (screen off), I'd expect to see my Wi-Fi on and connected some time after I arrived, but this is not the case. It is not until I turn the screen on AND unlock the phone that I see the profiles doing their thing. I see wifi connecting, flash alerts and so on. This probably have something to do with the fact that, for some reason, my phone will not connect to a network while the screen is off. Same example, I get home with wifi on and the screen off, and I'll only see the wifi connecting after I turn the screen on (this happens with or without Tasker and with any wifi) regardless of how long I've been home.

Could it be that the near wifi profile cannot toggle wifi or can't recognize any network while the screen is off due to this bug I have with Wifi connections in my phone (Which I haven't been able to sort out)?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!

[PROBLEM] proximity sensor isn't working anymore! topic

Hi all
I'm on tw lollipop with root permissions and since some days my proximity sensor isn't working!
On call when I put my phone near my ear the screen won't turn off, but for example if I use air gestures for skipping tracks on music player it works. Trying a tester found on the play store, the proximity sensor is still far even if I put my finger on it. Dialing *#0*# shows me this:

Consider that numbers in ADC (idk what they are) increase to from ~100 to 1000 when I get close with the finger

Someone can please help me solving this? Thanks

[Q] (HELP PLZZ)Disabling Battery temperature high warning ( Temperature sensor broke) topic

My note 2 battery temperature sensor broke. Well whenever I put it on charge it says "charging paused battery temperature too high" it shows battery temperature at 60 degree Celsius but battery is very cold.
I have flashed few times with odin, factory reset etc., used a different battery etc. problem is still there. I also replaced the usb port reflex with new one. Took it to service center and they are insisting me to change the whole motherboard which cost 8k rupee, they said the problem is in motherboard part and not the usb port. I am in india and I took it to few electronic stores and they said they are not able to repair it.
So I was thinking how I can disable the security feature which prevents battery to be charged. I know my phone battery is fine and its just the sensor that's broke. I know the risks behind it but I want it done.
If someone can guide me which component needs to be replaced on motherboard or How the disable the security feature which blocks charging at high temperature. Where this file is located so I can edit it.
Sorry for bad english I am in hurry.
