[Q] Most recommended Android dev books? topic

Hi,

I'm looking for some complete Android programming books, especially they should provide:
- Fresh informations (regarding to Android 5 api for example)
- Android Studio and not Eclipse as IDE for all applications, example projets etc, especially Gradle configuration, IDE configuration etc.
- Solid and complete informations about all aspects and all apis, and gui (including material design and all latest Lollipop changes).
- Complete guide, from easy things for beginners to advanced aspects

I've already done some research, however I can't find any interesting item to fit my requirments. No Android 5 informations (programming for Android 4 only), always Eclipse as IDE, no Android Studio etc. Do you have any tips for me what to choose for buy?

I still have 4.3 installed on my note 3 and since its really starting to get a lil old, I was wondering if its finally worth upgrading?

I mean I customized this thing so hard with hand selected debloating of 99% of the system apps that are just spyware/crapware to me, including all google apps except playstore and the required additional apks. Also using xposed to tweak everything to my needs like custom button configs and visual tweaks etc pp..

From what I've seen and read so far things got more difficult in Kitkat than before. Like Apps not beeing able to fully use SD-Card or problems with root etc.. so is there anything really positive that Kitkat or Lollipop added?

Either the stock versions or aosp based?

Would be cool to hear some opinions.

And what about performance? On my 4.3 Rom with custom kernel @ 2225mhz i get like 35-37k antutu score as well. How are your guys' scores nowadays with recent roms and similar clock?

Enable recommended Apps Headphones topic

Hey there!
I'm coming from the S5 and was wondering, if there is a way to enable the recommended apps popup in the notification bar. On my S5 when I plug in headphones it will show me some recommended apps in the notification bar, sadly I couldn't find any options to enable it on my N4. Is there a way to enable it, or is the Note missing that feature?

I'm curious what external storage devices folks are using with their Fire TVs to avoid the low-memory warnings. Are you using large hard drives, or little thumb drives? If the latter, is 32GB enough?
