[Q] XT926 issue - waiting for device topic

Phone: Droid Razr HD XT926, locked bootloader, was rooted, not sure now
Issue: OTAs had not worked for awhile, but I wanted to go to KitKat. So, I tried to use Matt's 1.41 utility. I may not have had the most up-to-date Motorola USB drivers when I started. The update did not work. Now, I just get the "Motorola Logo and Dual Core Technology text", but phone then goes black. I am able to get to AP fastboot screen, but all attempts to re-try Matt's 1.41 utility, or the House of Moto 4.1, or RSD Lite 6.2.4 are unsuccessful. All of them show <waiting for device>.

Any ideas why I can't get past <waiting for device>?

Fastboot screen:
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected

Fastboot Reason: Boot menu selected

Razr Maxx HD xt926 custom ROM question topic

Hi,
Sort of a rookie here. I'm currently on an unlocked/rooted xt926 running TWRP 2.7.1.0 and CM11-M12. Phone is generally stable, but has become more and more laggy over time (what would cause this?). Also have issues with Bluetooth in my BMW (can make outgoing calls fine but incoming calls don't work through car speakers).

Can you point me to a no-bloat ROM where the basics (phone, mobile data, bluetooth, wifi, Wifi-tether, GPS) are generally stable? Not as concerned about looks or a ton of extra functionality, so even stock is ok (but needs wifi tether).

thanks.

XT926 failed screen/fascia replacement, help! topic

hey guys, in serious need of assistance here.

I got a screen/fascia from ebay for my XT926, its like the whole assembly.

After replacement, the screen doesn't turn on, the phone physically works.

I plugged the phone into my TV using the hdmi cable and its on and running and the digitizer responds, i can use the phone. but the screen does not come on.

I've reinstalled the oem screen, and nothing, the reason for replacement was the glass is trashed but it worked.

****full disclosure=My roommate did the actual swap, while i was at work. I was gonna do it but he decided to try it himself. He had trouble with the little black tab that holds the ribbon cable in popped out, and he couldn't get it back in. I got it in when i got home, and locked down. he said he tried turning it on with out that tab in, and had the same result as i did, the led flashed, and it sounded like it turned on, he said. EITHERWAY, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. - ALEX:good:
