[Q] Update failed - HTC Droid Incredible S topic

Hi everybody !
I've a problem with my Droid Incredible S.
I was making an OTA update but, it failed and the screen stucked on a sort of 3 arrows arround a phone. I can't boot the phone or do anything. I'd like to know if the phone is completely ruined or if there is a hope to repair it. :confused:

Firmware update failed through Odin topic

I tried to flash a fresh Samsung firmware for my device [GT-5830i]
I get the firmware from sammobile [tried more than one ] yet i get the same message from odin [1.87 - 3.04 - 3.07 - 3.09] on each of them

[Q] XT1033 OTA lollipop upgrade failed... How to fix it? topic

Hi Guys,

I just received the XT1033 Lollipop notification and clicked upgrade.... Unfortunately the upgrade failed and I suspect perhaps that's because I have clockworkmod installed instead of the stock recovery?

Where do I go from here? How do I get my phone so the upgrade installs successfully?

I'm in New Zealand if that matters. Not sure if you get a different OTA update per country?

[Q] Android update failed! Verizon Bluetooth update topic

Hey guys I'm on 4.4.2 and I used towel root to root and I did the process to flash a rom. Well when I was rooted I unrooted on Supersu on the stock rom and I updated. Today I tried to update to Verizon's OTA to fix bluetooth and I can download it OTA and install it. It boots into recovery boot and then it loads. It shows the Android guy laying down and the Error wording. When the phone boots back up it says Sorry, there was an error updating your galaxy s5 Verizon. It's been doing this all day and I really want to update to Lolipop.

TWRP does not mount encrypted storage: Password failed topic

Hi there,

I recently installed XZDualRecovery on my device and activated the encrytion of internal storage. Unfortunately, TWRP is unable to mount the encrypted internal storage. It always fails with the error message "Password failed, please try again". The password is correct though.
Has anyone experienced the same problem and solved it? I couldn't find any solution for this.

XT926 failed screen/fascia replacement, help! topic

hey guys, in serious need of assistance here.

I got a screen/fascia from ebay for my XT926, its like the whole assembly.

After replacement, the screen doesn't turn on, the phone physically works.

I plugged the phone into my TV using the hdmi cable and its on and running and the digitizer responds, i can use the phone. but the screen does not come on.

I've reinstalled the oem screen, and nothing, the reason for replacement was the glass is trashed but it worked.

****full disclosure=My roommate did the actual swap, while i was at work. I was gonna do it but he decided to try it himself. He had trouble with the little black tab that holds the ribbon cable in popped out, and he couldn't get it back in. I got it in when i got home, and locked down. he said he tried turning it on with out that tab in, and had the same result as i did, the led flashed, and it sounded like it turned on, he said. I recently tried to root a friend's phone (a MT6572), using the Root Master Cekas app (it won't let me post outside links, as I recently made this account, but anyone can find a tutorial by searching "root master cekas tutorial" on Google, to see the app used) . It succeeded, and since it installs the Cekas app as a SuperSU, I was going to replace it in /system/app with the Chainfire SuperSU APK file (which I have done before, on an old tablet, and that worked). In a Terminal window, I used the command "chmod 644 /system/app", thinking that was the correct command (last I did it was around a month ago), but right when I did it, all apps started to close. He couldn't do anything, so he tried restarting it, and it freezes whenever he tries to do anything.

So my main question is, is there any way to use ADB/fastboot without having USB debugging active (he can't get into the settings menu) ? Or is there any possible way to turn it on remotely from a PC?

I flashed tar file through odin...it succeeded. ...den flashed cwm 11...but it failed...den I checked root acess through root checker...nd it is showing no root access...

[Q] OTA update failed topic

Hi,

This morning, I received the OTA update for Android L. I downloaded it but when I tried to install it, at about 2/3 minutes after it started, the little "!" icon turned red and my phone restarted. I tried an other time and it failed again..

A couple of months ago, I've installed on my device the Stock ROM (odexed version) and the Stock Recovery for Android 4.4.2 (for the HTC One M8, obviously). Everything went well. Then, I was able to update to 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 thanks to the OTA updates without any issues.

How can I install this new OTA update ?

For your information, on my bootloader, I can read "Software status: Modified", "Relocked" and "S-OFF". My CID is 11111111.

Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Failed to load ROM topic

Hi

I have a Huawei S10-201u MediaPad 10 Link (S10-201u) and it is giving me grey hairs.
It had, what I assume to be, a custom ROM installed on it and we had no real access to the things settings. I decided to wipe and install the stock ROM.

PC OS: W7 SP1 x64

I went to Huawei website and downloaded the S10-201u Firmware (S10-201u, Android 4.1, C232B002, English)

Took forever but I eventually got an 2GB SD card, formatted it clean in FAT32, created a dload folder and dumped the two files (update.app and unlmt.cfg) into the folder and then switched off the tablet.

Inserted SD card, held down VOL-DOWN and pressed the power button until the logo appeared. Kept the VOL-DOWN button pressed until I saw the little green Android robot with the wireframe thing spinning in his chest.

It did its thing for about 5 minutes, bar moved some then filled a little more... and then it simply said "FAIL" in red and in yellow text it says "sdcard upgrade failed. reboot device"

And now it is stuck. I can't boot it normally (just keeps going back to the little green Android and saying failed), I can't turn it off (Can reboot it, just not switch it off) and I have tried 5 or 6 different ROMs on the SD to try get something to happen. No luck,

I am able to reboot the phone to a point where it says "Enter into fastboot mode" if I use VOL-UP and POWER.
Windows detects it in this format as an "Android Phone/Android Single ADB Interface" device however running "fastboot devices" or "adb devices" yields no devices in the list.

Any ideas and suggestions on where to go next?

[Q] [HELP] Getting "warning:Camera Failed" error popup when camera app is opened! topic

I keep getting this when I try to open my camera or any other third party camera application .
i tried clearing the cache , factory reset, hard reset and also removed Sd card n tried, still nothing.
But i am able to use the front camera on snapchat or on a hangout video call alone. If i tried to switch cameras ,they would just crash. :(
A fix would be really helpful!!

PS:
i bought the phone elsewhere and cant return it or exchange it :(
