[Q] Why is there no real development for the Verizon Turbo? topic

I am coming from my last few phones being Samsung models , the Galaxy Nexus, Note 2 and 3, and the S4. The last Motorola phone I had was a Droid Razr. I left Moto because the hardware specks started to decline, no sd-slot, no removable battery, less desirable construction. I came back due to Samsung's questionable antenna and radio package. I never really had good strong signal with Samsung though. So, Motorola finally comes out with a beast of a phone in the specs catagory, although still no sd or battery pull but my signal is amazing, reception just about everywhere. So I'm confused why is there no development for the US Verizon Turbo? To me it seems like a no brainer.

Alcatel Onetouch Evolve 5020t Development topic

I wanted to know if anybody was working on this phone. I know that people have achieved root but I haven't seen anything else such as an unlocked bootloader, custom recoveries, or custom ROMs. I'm not experienced enough to get started with any of this but I think it is wrong for people to ignore a phone with decent specs. Development kernel with linux mint & Windows 8.1
I gained some knowledge about android much as modifications and scripts that perform specific actions

Using OS Linux Mint eh I could decompile the boot.img file


I had access to the script can be seen from root explorer in the path: /

But investigating more thoroughly about modifications cpu frequencies are situated on the zImage file

The question is how descompile the zImage?
some tutorial

Now as if there will be an issue that can continue to decompile the kernel when the same can now add the root with its binary respective

CM12 / Android TV ROM Development topic

This thread is for development updates, and an eventual release of testing candidates for the future of dual booting CM12 android roms on the Amazon Fire TV. At this time I am not planing on supporting the Fire TV stick since my development platform is based off USB3 booting.

There currently isn't even a stable branch in CM12 upstream so things are quite tricky right now.
I may eventually setup public nightlies once the core is stable.

The goals for development are in this order:

1. Wifi [working]


2. Bluetooth [crashing]


3. Stable core [random resets possibly storage related]


4. Audio [possibly needs hacking to default to hdmi]


5. Recovery system [rom boots using the recovery partition currently]


6. Hardware Acceleration [untested]


7. Android TV addons [require stable core]


8. USB Formating and install app [apparently not everyone knows what gparted is]


9. Modified version of Rbox's bootloader [I'd like to add recovery to the loader then have stock and custom boot options]

Also, if you want to be ready for possible nightly testing, I highly recommend going to walmart and buying one of the playstation USB3 hubs. It's about but allows you to plug in a USB3 drive and keyboard and mouse until bluetooth is working.

Microsoft's new Visual Studio 2015 preview (visualstudio.com/en-us/news/vs2015-preview-vs.aspx) enables cross-platform development. For Android developers, this is exciting news not only because mobile development can be done using the VS IDE, but also because Android app development can be accelerated in this environment using IncrediBuild (incredibuild.com), which is a well known tool that cuts down build times by distributing the build to remote machines to be processed in parallel. So I have never developed anything for windows before, but with seeing the hololens preview video it got me excited to start dabbling with this. I have been wanting to dabble with android apps but haven't gotten around to it yet. I was wondering if yall could point me in the right direction to getting started with getting ready to develop for the hololens/windows 10 (as I understand they will be the same development environment) so that when a development kit does come around I can be familiarized with the ecosystem. I have found a small bit of documentation from microsoft so far that I will be perusing that talks about some code samples, etc and I am getting visual studio, etc.

Anything else I should know or go look into that would help me to get ready to develop stuff on hololens?

[TOOL][WINDOWS]DroidShell - Windows Shell Integration for Android Development topic

Greetings, and welcome to the home of a little set of utilities I'm calling "DroidShell".

What it is:

DroidShell is my attempt at bridging the gap between the various android utilities used for ROM modification and the WIndows explorer system. It is a series of scripts that are automatically associated with .apk, .jar, and .iso files so that they are automatically decompiled on double-click or enter. Additionally, when a file is decompiled, a corresponding .dcp, dcf, or dci (decompiled package, decompiled framework, decompiled image) file is created, which allows for automatic recompiling, as well as optional cleanup, or resigning.

The goal of this project is pretty simple...to have all the tools needed for ROM work in one place, and have them easily accessible without having to have eighty command windows open or to have to go through a chain of commands to create a usable apk/jarfile.


Features:
One-shot setup. Extract the files, run install/installer.bat, and all of the necessary file associations and paths are created.
Batch terminal integration - provides integration for adb, fastboot, apktool, 7zip, unpackbootimg, repackbootimg, baksmali and smali in windows command-line interface from path.
Automagic association with common android filetypes for decompilation.
Custom placeholder files - dcp, dcf, and dci - for packages, framework, and image files. Allows for automatic recompiling, and optional signing and cleanup of decompiled files.
Recompiled apks and jars are automatically repacked with modified files while excluding androidmanifest.xml, meaning signatures are unaffected.
For modifications requiring androidmanifest be changed, you can right-click a .dcp file to recompile with signature.
Auto-detection of framework-res file with prompting to install.
Popup dialogue boxes for errors and alerts.

Instructions...

Extract to a folder somewhere. Spaces in the path are probably not good. I put it in C:\DroidShell
Browse to the folder. Go into the install folder. Run installer.bat. (Installer needs admin priveleges. It will prompt for them, but in some cases, you may have to automatically run as admin)
Reboot.
You should now have shell integration. APKs, Jars, and .img files will automagically decompile.

It's late, I've been working on this all weekend...but it should be good to go. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. :D

[App] Jdownloader development request topic

We are seeing increasing number of file holsters app for android. Jdownloader open source development supported many file hosting websites under one roof. Its based on java so platform independent.

Jdownloader also included auto captcha recognition and multi threading, resume etc

It devoids unnecessary advertisements by directly redirecting to actual file location.

Instead of 10 file hosting apps like Mega, Google drive etc that costs me 100 MB memory in my little device can we have one app for all file hosters?

Is it possible to port jdownloader to android?

Of late jdownloader also did not work for me in windows due to their upgrades. The nearest possible equivalent is IDM but it does not bypass advertising and captcha.

Lack of development support? topic

I got the nexus 9 when it first came out since I needed a tablet for school readings as etexts are so cheap. I was wondering since why there has been so little development for it? Its an AOSP device yet there are no cyanogen nightlies (no official ones at least). No franco kernel. TWRP doesn't even support a layout for the screen ratio. Is clockwork mod even supporting it?

There's almost no one working with it? Is there a reason for that? Does the 64 bit or nvidia soc discourage people or whats the deal? I know no one owes me anything, I am just curious why so few are interested on developing for it seeing as its a nexus.
