[Q] Unlocked LG E980 for T-Mobile topic

The phone has the latest Blisspop installed, but I am able to hear anything during a phone call. Even with the Bluetooth connected, it doesn't produce any sound. If I plug my headphones in, then I can hear the caller and they can hear me. Please help. I made a clean install of the custom ROM. How can I get the sound on the earpiece of the headset?

[Q] Unrooted Note 4, Samsung rep or Tmobile cannot access the phone system! topic

Tmobile Note 4, trying to get it replaced under warranty. Rooted and flashed roms on it before. I set it back stock last night, cleared all caches, wiped/formatted all data and factory reset. I flashed stock NK4 through Odin and everything went smoothly, status says "official", the stock bootloader is loaded, I've even done a factory reset within the stock OS just to make sure.

Tmobile store says they can't see the phone through their software, it just won't connect. Samsung rep at BB said same thing, and also showed me when he hit update software in settings nothing happened.

Weird, anyone have any ideas? I'm getting ready to send it back and would rather it was back to stock so I don't get any hassles.

I want to get rid of Comcast and use T-Mobile as my internet connection for my home use also. [Q] Converting an AT&T to T-Mobile. Help? topic

First off, thanks to everyone willing to read this and help me out. Here's the deal.

I got a cheap second-hand m8 locked on AT&T. So far I have sim-unlocked it, S-OFFed it, changed cid to 11111111(supercid), and added Philz recovery. I would like to find a firmware and rom for T-Mobile that has wifi-calling enabled, and flash it without bricking my phone. It still has the MID for AT&T/dev(0P6B120000). HBOOT version is 3.16.00000000.

Should I change the MID? What firmware can I flash? What roms are recommended? Do I need to update HBOOT?

I don't care about OTA's, once I am comfortable flashing roms on this thing, I'll do it that way.

I am coming from a Nexus 5 so I am familiar with the stupid easy methods for installing roms and radios and such and being impossible to brick. This phone seems to not be so easy, so I am being extra-careful with how I go about this, as it seems completely different to me. Also, some of the guides on here that I've read have had some conflicting and/or confusing information, not that I'm ungrateful, I just want to be absolutely sure before I trash my new phone.

Anybody have experience using the ATT E980 unlocked on TMobile service? LTE bands work well on the phone?

Also I've been searching for ROMs for the past hour, and cant seem to find any with a "hacked hotspot" aka "unrestricted tethering". I have the unlimited TMobile plan, and need a ROM with the unlimited hotspot feature. Does anybody know of one?

Use Tmobile Network Speed Indicator on Galaxy S5 topic

My question is simple. I am trying to use Tmobile HSPA+ indicator network for Galaxy S4/S5, which is a 4G icon, on another Carrier Galaxy S5, in my case Sprint, which has a 3G icon for HSPA+.

My first thought was to change the ro.product.name and ro.product.device properties from the build.prop file to kltetmo, which is the value that tmobile galaxy s5 has, and this worked as I was getting the TMobile 4g icon, but a popup message saying "unfortunately itson has stopped" showed up every second.

I got that idea from this post

I have also have been reading this and this but they are trying to change the whole status bar.

Is there a way to do this? Can I just change a file name and make this work? What can I do to accomplish this.

Tmobile band 12 availability thread topic

I decided to start this thread for people to report the availability and their experience with band 12 (700mhz). I've been on the fence about leaving T-Mobile due to poor reception in the areas I spend the most time at.( home and work). I'm tired of texts not sending or data not being available. My favorite is my wife constantly picks on me about android and crap phones ( you can only imagine what she uses). So every time she needs me to look up something because her phone isn't around I can't.
According to T-Mobile they will be releasing an update to phones that support band 12 in Q1 so it can access the network. I'm hoping this solves my connectivity problems since it should have better building penetration. Sorry if there is already a thread on this topic. Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated

I have a T-mobile Unlocked HTC One M8 which I am using on my AT&T Sim card. I would like to remove the entire T-mobile software and would like my phone to have exactly the same software that come with a Factory unlocked phone from HTC.COM. Is it possible? If yes, please provide me step by step instructions on how to achieve it. Current S/W number is 3.32.531.2 Android 4.4.4. Also, T-mobile has blacklisted the IMEI but its working fine on AT&T. (got burnt on craiglist).

Tips for improving reception on TMobile in USA? topic

Hello XDA,

I'm using my OPO on TMobile's network in USA, and I've noticed that my reception has been weaker than it should be. The reason I know the network isn't the problem is because my wife's Galaxy S5 gets significantly better dBm values than my OPO in the same location. My OPO also seems to have trouble maintaining an LTE signal and often doesn't recover service after leaving a dead zone until I toggle airplane mode. My wife's Galaxy S5 doesn't have these issues. I tried tweaking the APN settings according to some articles I found online, but that only seemed to help marginally.

I recently unlocked the bootloader to install the Xposed framework and flashed Franco kernel to improve the battery life, but the signal problem seems to have gotten worse. Anyone have any tips? Are there better modem drivers I can flash?

Help with Unlocked T-Mobile S5 topic

OK, I cannot find this information anywhere so maybe someone here can help me.
My wife bought a Galaxy S5 and we had quickly paid it off. Because we only get 2G where we live , we decided to switch to Straight Talk.
After a week of Straight Talk not working correctly (we would have Full LTE service but could not make or recieve calls) we then ported to Cricket AIO.
We are having the same issue and don't know where to start. I wiped out the factory image and installed a debloated Rom thinking removing some
T-Mo junk would help but it doesn't. Everything is correct, APN settings and all. Can somebody shed some light and let me know what to try next?

my samsung galaxy 111 was changed over to metro pcs from tmobile. since then i have only used the phone for my wifi games and apps already installed from the year of these services. NOW no matter where i connect it to on my lap top, it only showes as unknown device. ive tried to update driver like it suggests in the trouble shooter program. what can i do to make it compatable with my computer? the unchanged galaxy tmobile phones have no problem with compatibility. thanks to any helpful answers from anybody!:confused:
