Android Encryption on Custom ROM topic

There are threads here and there but I couldn't find anything who has gotten encryption working on a custom ROM, except on a thread that someone did it with Jedi X Rom. Anyways, I have tried the following ROMs + TWRP to encrypt with no luck:

jfltevzw_JellyBeans_B7
S4_Echoev29.1_S5PORT_VZW_090814
S4_Echoev29_VZW_100814
Danvdh-CM11-09-18-2014-M9-stable
Danvdh-GPE-5-12242014
EclipseTW-S4-v4.0.2-KitKatNC5
HyperdriveRLS20KKS4Final

All of the above ROMS, after I enable encryption, green Android comes up, reboot and then back to Android like nothing happened. I tried disabling superuser, safe mode... Closest to success was JellyBeans where it encrypted successfully but then asked password for Storage which the password did not work.

Anyone has gotten encryption working on their custom ROM? If you did, what recovery/ROM/build combination? Anything special you had to do to get it working?

Nexus 6 PA and encryption topic

I was unencrypted on my previous stock ROM. I then flashed PA, I noticed that it has encrypted my device again which is no problem as I can unencrypt. So my question is this, If I stay unencrypted, will future OTA updates from PA always encrypt me ?

[Q] Enable Encryption in EMUI 3? topic

Hi all,

I recently bought a P7 as my new smartphone. However, there is one thing missing. In the EMUI settings device encryption is not accesible, however this is a standard Android feature. I need this feature enabled because of enterprise policies otherwise I can't connect to our Exchange. Contact & agenda synchronization is necessary for me as my smartphone is a working device.

I tried updating to EMUI 3, but it's still not part of the ROM. It's a bit ridiculous Huawei isn't enabling this option within EMUI or doesn't even put encryption enabled by default.

Is their a workaround to enable this feature?

Thanks in advance.

Recovery Mode after Encryption topic

Hello

after i rooted my z3 compact and stuff i thought "hey, encrypting the data would be nice and safe" and did so.
after this i wanted to install some zip via recovery-mode and there are just errors telling me "cannot mount sdcard" and smth like that
i assume this is because the sdcard is encrypted.. .
did anyone know how i can use recoverymode again without flashing the whole firmware back again? oO

thank you

[Q] S5 encryption topic

Is the only solution to encryption the S5 is to use password to lock the device ?

I have a not rooted S5.
I would like to use the figerprint unlock (it's fast).
I can go for a pin unlock mode.
but a password, is realy impractical

Thanks
