I need an actual version of TWRP (2.8+) for my ZTE Nubia Z5S mini. Its only available @ 4pda.ru. Tried for hours and it seems there is no working way to get access to the forum for me. I can't create an account because the captcha is russian and existing accounts from the web also don't work. I was very pleased if someone could send me a valid link for TWRP 2.8+ or working account data for 4pda.ru .

Can anybody help me? I'm trying to flash a few things and get this "zips signature verification failed 1" in all red error. Never had it before. I just flashed latest bliss ROM and noticed I couldn't flash a kernel, Google calendar or the new camera next mod.

Hello guys. I am in CM 11S stock ROM unrooted with TWRP installed. So My question is,do i need to flash stock recovery through fastboot first in order to get OTA updates ?

I got a new warranty replacement phone, I have a twrp backup from the old phone on my PC, is there a way to restore this backup? Already rooted and unlocked the new new phone, and can't transfer the file over to the new phones twrp file, can I unroot, and then put the backed up twrp file from my PC on to the phone?

Hey GuyZ. I'm FuZZ moZr, I've recently picked up a Lg G3 Vs985. Yesterday I rooted it, and unlocked the bootloader with the bump method. After that I saw on the play store G3Tweaks. I downloaded it, and saw I needed xposed module to use it. So o went got it then it rebooted my phone after i installed it within the app. After my phone rebooted it now just sits at the verizon logo all day. I had twrp installed, but it won't let me boot into it since that happened. I have my STOCK ROM backed up so if o could just get it to boot into it I'll be good. I could restore my phone Without losing everything, and having to re-root and all that. My question is, is it possible to install twrp back onto my lg g3 via my laptop.? You know using cmd. I have adb tools, and latest drivers installed. That's how I unlocked the bootloader. Is this possible. Also I would just redo it all, but my WiFi has got throttled, and it would take FOREVER to download the stock firmware. Please someone help me. My nexus 5, note 3, HTC one, and z2 has no issues. I only had the phone for two days I really need it back on today. Plus it was my remote... Now I don't have one. :(.

i did set TWRP recovery mode password from developer options.
later i forgot the password :(
After few days, my phones data is corrupted it always boot only in recovery mode.
now when entering in to recovery mode.it asks for the password.

is there any way to reset the TWRP password ?

now that lollipop is here, prepping for a new ROM.

been so long using BadBoyz as a daily driver without flashing anything else that I'm still on TWRP 2.6.3.0. Are there any issues jumping all the way to 2.8.4.0? IIRC there was some mention of incompatible backups or changes to where it stores or lost SD location with new firmware.

I plan to update TWRP, update firmware, install new lollipop ROM and hoping for a smooth transition.

Anything I need to be aware of that would prevent that???

No cellular data after TWRP restore topic

I'm trying to restore a TWRP backup that I made right after unlocking and rooting on stock ROM. But whenever I restore and boot the device, I have no cellular data whatsoever. I'm on T-Mobile and I'm choosing the fast.t-mobile.com APN in Settings (already selected), which obviously worked when I made the backup. Why isn't it working now?

When I restore back to my current custom ROM on the same APN cellular data works fine again. What's going on? The only difference I see is that in Pure Shamu ROM the APN is named T-Mobile US LTE instead of T-Mobile GPRS on stock ROM. But the settings look the same?

Any help is appreciated.

When i tried to make a backup it created this file in my twrp folder


Im not getting a fail message or anything, it shows like it created the backup but it just doesn't. Any help?

Im on Lollipop a Samsung rom but it wouldn't work with cm12 either.


Edit: Im also having a problem deleting TB backups for old apps i dont need anymore. I will delete them but when i go back into TB they will be there again, my backups are stored on my sd card.

[Q] Drive errors reported in TWRP creating a nandroid . (Another Noob Question) topic

First I like to thank berndblb for Beginners Guide to root and flashing a custom ROM on the TF700T. :good:
I was able to get it unlocked and TWRP 2.8.4.0 installed using Minimal ADB and Fastboot . Got this error when creating a nandroid and also it happened again when Copying Log to SD.
E:Failed to get default contexts and file mode for storage files.
From what I can find on error ,it seems to be in TWRP related after version is 2.8.1.0. Should I flash 2.8.1.0 and do I have to delete 2.8.4.0 first ?
I am still reading about About F2FS and getting ready to flash a Rom. But before I Screw stuff up as a Noob.
I am trying to learn be for I (Error}!

TWRP 2.8.2.0 ported to Xolo q1010i :D
To reduce the size of recovery the images are compresed a bit and 'black and white'-ed so the default theme looks ugly (or could be buggy) :p
Don't worry about overlapping of recovery on other partition because the recovery is 2KB less than 6MB
( 6MB=6144KB but recovery is 6142KB :D )



But I recommend you all to use the materialized TWRP theme from here (PRESS THANKS ON HIS THREAD TOO)-> http://is.gd/WvrBjQ :cool:

On the Materialized TWRP thread follow the below given path
[720x1280 themes folder -> TWRP 282X-> 720_play/720_light/720_dark
Don’t chose multirom.
My personal choice is 720_play theme.
Rename the theme to ui.zip
Put the theme in /InternalStorage/TWRP/theme/

Flash the recovery.img through SP Flashtool or MobileUncle tools app
