I've been an idiot and managed to wipe my OS. I have TWRP and I was wondering what the easiest way to recover my OS would be.

Am I right in thinking I can get a stock rom from samsung updates, stick it on the SD card and flash it on?

IF so, can any of you give me detailed instructions or point me to some?

So for whatever reason, Cyanogen has removed all CM11 nightlies from their servers. Some people are quite upset at this. I know I was. The last Slimkat stable gave me problems, and the CM12 nightlies are a work in progress. I eventually gave in and began sampling various Lollipop ROMs. Now I've found out that someone was kind enough to post it on Google Drive. Here's the link:

I checked the integrity of the file. The MD5 matches up to the one listed on Cyanogen's website. Enjoy. Here's the MD5 to see if it downloads OK on your side. ;)

I HATE that not cute whistle on other's phones. There isn't a word for how I hate it on my vz s5 de.

I found the file in system media audio

I deleted it.

I was adding sounds files previously. I don't have any interest in sounds files on sdcard. Emulated storage might be acceptable but I want them in system media.

Now

From the volume levels adjustment reticle the only sound played by moving the notification volume slider is that stupid whistle NO matter which sound is SHOWN as selected. ALL notifications are now the stupid whistle.

After I rooted my phone, I deleted apps from system/apps without knowing the consequences. I deleted the huawei themes app (presumably Themes.apk maybe).

I was wondering if anybody could post or pm the relevant extracted apk and odex file.

[Q] Deleted Text Message Recovery topic

Hi,
A friend of mine recently came into possession of a "maimed" S4. We are able to fix this, however, the data on the phone is incredibly important, more specifically, the text messages. It is critical that we recover them. The phone is not rooted.

My questions are:
1) Can we recover the messages without root through some computer software or application?
2) If we install some sort of application, do you think it will over-write the deleted text message data (We know that it stays on the device until overwritten)?
3) If we attach the phone via usb to a computer and set it to "usb mass storage," will that prevent data from being lost if we need to install an application?

Hello to all, i have a big problem , my tablet M-MP1S2A3G Got a virus, at start that auto install app, now after reset its open popup
i founded the application that do the problem but that cant be removed
after uninstall and reboot they comeback
then tried to root , after root i founded them in data/app/, but cant be deleted.... i already tried root explorer and many more app... the other apk there can be removed... but that two says always permis denied. i tried everything from shell and from other file app, nothing can seem capable to remove that two file

ps: i cant install a recovery or a rom because the processor arm7 4core mt8382 had not a custom recovery ready.

Please help me... im out of luck...

So I was trying to install a cm12 nightly on my asus tf300t, but the lollipop gapps weren't working. In an attempt to fix something, I used the 'format data' feature in TWRP. Now whenever I try to flash something it fails and gives me an error to the tune of "unable to open /data/media, file not found."

Is there a fix for this? I had a backup, but I think it was on the partition that was formatted.

Recover deleted pics in internal memory (Asus Zenfone 5 Lite) topic

Hi,
I accidentally deleted a whole album of 300+ pics and a few vids in an Asus Zenfone 5 Lite (internal memory). I downloaded a program that recovers deleted files for android (Yodot) but it wont detect the internal memory drive.
It is connected via a USB cable, USB Debugging option enabled and chose MTP. I guess it will only detect it if it's chosen as a USB Mass Storage but I don't know how. Please tell me if you know how to.
What's the best way to recover the deleted files?
Please help.

Google Drive tries to sync deleted file - endless loop topic

I've got a strange Problem at the moment. I've deleted a file on Google Drive which was pinned as offline on my mobile. Then i've deleted it via file manager on my mobile.
No everytime I start Google Drive there is an endless sync for that deleted file. Even deleting data, cache etc didn't help.

Any ideas? Thx a lot in advance!
