[Q] What's the deal with CM11 topic

So I see sai dev saying that he wants CM11. People say it's hard to do, he says someone can do it. Then, he opens a thread about CM12 then just says delete. THEN, he opens a thread saying he has made CM11 for the TN7 but we have to wait a month for it to actually come out. It comes out, people complain, then BAM. The thread is closed for him not having the kernel source code. He creates another thread. BAM. Closed, no kernel source code. THEN he "makes" (more like renames old zip file to tn7 roms" an AOPK ROM. I think we all know why the thread was closed. My point is, IS a NON-FAKE NON-BUGGY version of CM11 coming, or will we just have to wait for official device support? Or, is it just not coming at ALL? Im very confused. I know these roms are most likely trolls, but seriously, whats up with this? Thanks for noticing. :good:

Hi I have flashed cyanogen mod 11 to my galaxy ace 2 but it's too big for the internal storage. Can anyone point me to a solution?

I have done an extensive search of XDA but I can't find a fix. Apologies for the new thread but I'm stuck.

Tethering with CM11 topic

My LG L90 D415 on CM11 will not tether. The hotspot works, but tethering does not. I connected via USB to a PC that has broadband internet from a cable modem. I ticked the USB tethering box. My PC searched windows update for the drivers, but only found 4 out of 5 drivers. The drivers it found are: USB Composite Device, LGE AndroidNet USB Modem #4, LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM9), and USB Input Device. The driver that failed was LGE AndroidNet NDIS Ethernet Adapter #2. I am running CyanogenMod version 11-20141201-UNOFFICIAL-W7. I'd really like to tether, would you please tell me how this can be done?

I'm a recent purchaser of the tabpro 8.4, thanks to Best Buy selling them so cheap. I sold my Nexus 7 (2012) to buy it. I Hated the stock touchwiz software but loved the hardware. First rooted and flashed an early cm12 build. It was buggy.! I've been flashing each new cm12 nightly since then. Several nagging issues remain. They are mainly cosmetic, but irksome. I flashed cm11 m12 today, and am a very happy camper. I recommend PA Stock Gapps to flash with it. So many of google's apps have been updated, especially the Google Now Launcher, that you really get a heaping helping of material design, without even needing lollipop! I'm not having any issues with cm11. I would recommend also downloading the new google exchange services apk, so that you can use gmail to check your exchange mail like you can in lollipop.

I'll be using this rom until I get word that cm12 is a bit more stable.

Apologies if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer. I've read this post but it seems more complicated than it needs to be...

I've got an unlocked, rooted xt925.

I'm on CM11 JBBL nightlies (with CWM Recovery) and I want to move to CM12, which I believe means I need to revert from JBBL to KKBL first.

Is that correct?

If so, can I just download the KKBL firmware and flash it? Or do I have to use some other process? I'm on a Mac so I can't use PC-based tools (although I can use adb etc).

And where can I download KBBL from?? And will I lose root?

CM11 R17 Ringtone Sound fix topic

While trying everything I have found a solution to fix ringtone on latest cm11 where it is started ringing on call now.

I thought to share because it will be helpful for all because latest build is awesum with new kernel tweaks and I can't feel any lag at all.some might be away from did experience because of sound bug.

Steps to follow
1 Go to phone setting
2 than profile
3 you can create new profile but I made changes in default one only
4 Change ring volume level as u want,I made full 7/7
5 change Ring mode to Ring here

Now when u receive a call,see the Magic

This ROM based on zyrex cm11 kernel, ported from pyramid.

Main purpose of this rom , to make (phone layout ) portrait as default orientation ( nexus 7 wannabe :p ).

No more Black Screen when rotate to 180, now you can freely rotate to any direction.

Change navbar position to bottom in landscape mode, not stick on the right side, on phone layout.

Bluetooth A2dp ok, No jumbled jigsaw in recent apps.

Installation Guide

1. Download the Rom zip file .
2. put the zip on your sd card.
3. Switch off your phone and reboot into twrp recovery.
4. Wipe > Advance wipe > [ davlik,system,cache,data ].
---thick mark internal storage if you want clean installation---.
5. Flash the rom zip file.
7. Reboot the system and you are good to go.

Booting process takes about 3 - 5 minutes after first reboot.

So for whatever reason, Cyanogen has removed all CM11 nightlies from their servers. Some people are quite upset at this. I know I was. The last Slimkat stable gave me problems, and the CM12 nightlies are a work in progress. I eventually gave in and began sampling various Lollipop ROMs. Now I've found out that someone was kind enough to post it on Google Drive. Here's the link:

[Q] Kindle Fire with CM11 Otter will not activate Gapps topic

I loaded CM11 snapshot from Nov 2014 from CyanoGenMod using TWRP. It loaded fine and booted fine. I then loaded Gapps for CM11 full version. The Gapps loaded but I could not sign into Google account to activate the Google Store. I also could not load into Google Account email. I have tried two additional Gapps packages, a micro and a small, with the same results. I do a factory reset before installing the Gapps.

I really only need Google Store, if I have that then I can load what I want, which isn't much. The first Gapps package said it was for 4.3, the second one said 4.4 and the third one 4.2. I would think all of these Gapps packages should work with my CM11 Otter 4.4 ROM.

I have searched for solutions but have not found much except to make sure I have the latest TWRP. I loaded TWRP 2.7.1 before I flashed my ROM.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

Seems I can watch the battery meter go down, lasts maybe 1 hour of use on the cm11.

Maybe bad battery or the cm11 who knows. Any one still getting descent times with this device?

Using SGH-T989.

After flashing CM-11, the system boots up.
1. Then after a few seconds, it reboots
2. Then it performs an "android upgrade" and optimizes from 1 to 111 apps
3. Steps #1 and #2 repeat themselves over and over.

I've tried following guides on how to correctly implement this custom rom from multiple web sites and I keep getting the same results.

I've tried using CWM 6.0.3.7
I've tried using CWM 6.0.4.3 as well.
I tried installing the kernel mentioned on this web site
I've tried to do a Wipe /data, /cache, and /system.

I ended up restoring the backup of my stock ROM, which works fine.

Any thoughts?

Hi, the device cannot be turned off while charging. is it normal with this room?

How to reproduce:
- shutdown the phone
- plug in the charger
Expected result:

I flashed CM11 on my tablet (8.4), and was wondering if there is a way to set my sd card as my default storage? I could do it before. (Yes, I did try to look up the answer before i asked. :p)
