[Q] Bluetooth Headset - more Volume Steps topic

Hey,

I bought a Sony SBH20 to listen to music without having the annoying cable on my phone.
The Problem is, there are only 7 Volume Steps for the Bluetooth Device (Hardware Buttons of the Headset also control the Android Volume).
So I want to find a way to controll the Volume finer.

I tried:
- Increase number of steps with the XPosed module VolumeSteps+. Problem ist that also I have more steps now, only at 7 points the Volume realy changes. So I have no improvement here.
- The App "Fine Volume Controll V2.0" which can controll the Volume in 1% steps. Problem here is that I can only change the Volume in the app, but not with the Hardware Buttons of Headset or Smartphone (when the phone is locked).

So, any ideas for that?

My Phone is a rooted Sony Xperia Z2 with Android 4.4.4 and Xposed Framework installed.
I don't have this Problem with my old Galaxy Nexus with CyanogenMod (also Android 4.4.4) which has more steps for the Bluetooth Device. So I think the Problem belongs to Sony customizations of Android.

So is there any way to get finer Volume controll?

Nexus 6 Headset Button Problem topic

Hello,

I have the Nexus 6 for the last month now. I was using the phone when I noticed that the headset buttons does not work.
If I press a headset button while I listen to music, it will not stop the music but instead it is going to open Google now commands.
Same issue when I try to answer a call.
I have tried several apps from the market, but none of the seem to fix the problem.
I have tried disabling the Google now, but when I hit the button, it goes to voice search again.
I think that the Google now only listens to the headset buttons and I want to fix it.
Can anyone help me fix it?
Thank you in advance.

PS: I have read and tried the things other threads was saying and nothing seem to work.

[FIX] [CM12] Callers hear echo when using headset jack in car input topic

Someone more educated on the matter, please chime in as this is definitely one of those trial and error winzip fixes. What I did was copy the *.acdb audio files from the stock moto g gpe /system/etc having to do with the audio profiles. I know nothing about these files, but copying them from the stock lollipop to cm12 gives no ill effect and improves the call echo. If someone has a better fix, please share!!

The list of the files in the zip:
General_cal.acdb
Global_cal.acdb
Handset_cal.acdb
Hdmi_cal.acdb
Headset_cal.acdb
Speaker_cal.acdb

Make a backup using adb pull

adb pull /system/etc/General_cal.acdb
adb pull /system/etc/Global_cal.acdb
adb pull /system/etc/Handset_cal.acdb
adb pull /system/etc/Hdmi_cal.acdb
adb pull /system/etc/Headset_cal.acdb
adb pull /system/etc/Speaker_cal.acdb

and then just flash.

[Q] Need confirmation on headset call performance topic

If you use a headset/earbuds with an in-line mic to handle calls, I would appreciate it if you could confirm one thing for me.

During a call, do you hear your own voice (and surrounding noise) through your own headset?

I've never had a smartphone send the audio picked up by my own mic straight back to my own ears during calls. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal behavior for this device or if I have a problem.

[Q] Bluetooth headset button support and microphone support (Moto Hint) topic

Hello, I've got the LG G3 D855 on Lollipop and I recently bought a Motorola Hint. It's a great headset and works on every phone i've tried it with except fully for the LG G3. It doesn't seem limited to this bluetooth headset either as I've tried multiple and they all have this issue. It seems that when touching the headset button (the one for ending calls etc) it doesn't do anything on the phone. On other android phones it starts up google now or allows you to choose what launches when pressed, but on this phone it doesn't seem to even register. It does work however when in a call to work for answering and ending but it doesn't register when not in a call. It seems as though the phone doesn't pick up anything when pressed, it even works on an iphone to initiate siri and every other android phone but no my G3 :( though I have heart it works fine on other variants which allow to launch either google now or 'voice mate' , and by the way voice mate isn't installed anywhere on this phone either,. Also, when using google now normally by opening it, audio runs through the headset but not the microphone for voice input, this only works on calls. I would root the phone and put another rom on it but you also can't root the G3 which is running Lollipop before being rooted also aha.
All very confusing I know, but would love to know if anyone else has this issue or know how to fix it!
Thanks

Bluetooth headset topic

Hello. I have this bluetooth headset from Jabra which i'm using at field work. Before htc m8 i had oneplus one phone. When i was using Jabra with oneplus i had no problems with noise in the background and people could hear me very well with no complains. Now i have switched to HTC M8 and with same Jabra headset people are very complaining about the noise and bad hearing. I had the same problem with HTC M7. I also have Lava XOLO and headset works withouth problems with that phone. So i guess i only have problems with HTC phones. Could someone explain me what is happening? I'd really like to use my headset with HTC with no noises in the background!

Thanks
