s5 update now no control over volume topic

galaxy s5 non rooted, was on lollipop via kies. got an update ota this morning, around 260mb, thought maybe it was 5.0.1 or something like that fixing a few bugs, installed it now the ring volume stuck on silent, as well as system, notifications, but media volume is working ok? i have rebooted a few times no joy. .... lrx21t.g900fxxu1boa3. any ideas what to do?

Hey,

I bought a Sony SBH20 to listen to music without having the annoying cable on my phone.
The Problem is, there are only 7 Volume Steps for the Bluetooth Device (Hardware Buttons of the Headset also control the Android Volume).
So I want to find a way to controll the Volume finer.

I tried:
- Increase number of steps with the XPosed module VolumeSteps+. Problem ist that also I have more steps now, only at 7 points the Volume realy changes. So I have no improvement here.
- The App "Fine Volume Controll V2.0" which can controll the Volume in 1% steps. Problem here is that I can only change the Volume in the app, but not with the Hardware Buttons of Headset or Smartphone (when the phone is locked).

So, any ideas for that?

My Phone is a rooted Sony Xperia Z2 with Android 4.4.4 and Xposed Framework installed.
I don't have this Problem with my old Galaxy Nexus with CyanogenMod (also Android 4.4.4) which has more steps for the Bluetooth Device. So I think the Problem belongs to Sony customizations of Android.

So is there any way to get finer Volume controll?

Viber mic volume is too low topic

I am wondering if anyone using viber and facing this issue or not.

currently when trying to make\ receive calls on viber, the other side complains that the volume is too low

I had tested this against also my Galaxy S5, the fire phone still have very low mic volume, so I can barely hear.

I suspect the problem might be that Viber is picking the wrong mic (if fire have multiple mics), or just gain issue.

I developed this app originally for G3 but later made it compatible with G2 as well. This app that will let you change the volume button apps (when phone is locked), without root.

I am told that G Pro 2 also launches QuickMemo when you long press Volume Up (when phone is locked). If that is true, could you please test my app and see if it is working?

I have bought yurekha cynogenmod11 which has got very low speaker volume outcome. How to solve this issue.I have referred some sites where it has been suggested that to edit codec of speaker l via root explorer R/W option but even I tried for that but R/W option does enable for my system. So I can't edit speaker volume percentage. So finally i am posting with hope of good solution.

"White Noise" when volume is all the way down topic

it seems that when i play a game \ playing music - but when volume is all the way down,

you can hear the speaker's (especially the top one) "white noise" (like when you turn on a computer speaker but its muted)

when i play the game you can also hear some "cracks" in the white noise (like "ticks")

as i already mentioned - the volume is all the way down


anyone else had this experience?

Notification volume mysteriously turns itself up topic

I have a weird problem that I can't figure out. At random times my notification volume will go from about 25% to 75%. I do have MyProfiles running but it's not set to change any notification volume except at 10pm it turns notifications all the way down (silent) and then turns them back on to about 25% at 7am. I'd suspect that but it happens randomly throughout the day when it SHOULDN'T be doing anything. I say shouldn't, it's possible it's doing something but none of my profiles in that app have the notification volume doing anything more than about 25%.

Thoughts?

I can't any more. Its been this way since the update. Every time I try to change my ringer volume it changes my in-call volume, even when I am not in a call. I always have to go to the settings menu to change it.

[Q] Lollipop Bluetooth Volume issue topic

I've searched all over, and I feel kinda like I'm the only one experiencing this issue. :crying:

We all know, normal operation is as follows: You play music via bluetooth. When you get an event that generates a sound, usually, the music plays a bit quieter, the sound plays and then the music returns to normal volume.

Whenever I use ANY Lollipop ROM, after the sound plays, the volume keeps turning up (even higher than I can with the volume controls) until the sound becomes distorted and very obnoxious to listen to. A quick work around is just to toggle the volume down then back up. However, you can imagine how difficult that is in the shower, or when I'm driving.

I've reverted back to 4.4.4 for now, I don't have those issues. But I'd really like to upgrade to Lollipop. I'm hoping someone has some insight into this, or at least this will get the ball rolling.

Hi guys,
So I've LG G3 D855 with lollipop and i am experiencing a weird problem. I'm using the original earphones that came with the phone but on the earphones the volume buttons, the mid button & the mic as well have all stopped working. I can listen to music using my headphones but I can't speak using my earphones on call as it's mic is not working, I can't change track, can't even raise or lower the volume using earphones buttons.

I am new to this forum. I did search about the problem first but couldn't find an answer here. Anyone knows how to fix it? My phone is not rooted and the problem was there before upgrading it to lollipop too.

Moto X 2014 Volume Button issue topic

I had my Moto X 2014 roughly for 3-4 months (I did use Moto Maker). I start noticing my volume down doesnt work well. I thought it might be the case... but nope the volume down button doesnt have good response/ doenst "click" when you press it. Keep in mind it works but not clickable/ doesnt click... I am not sure how to formulate it in more details. I will be contacting Moto in am. I was wondering if anyone had similar issue :confused::confused:

I was wondering if there is a mod that you can activate the camera from the standby lock screen by holding the volume key? as i don't listen to music on my phone so that wont matter to me if the volume key is used for camera shortcut.

So I'm running CM12 and I'm having this issue where the volume works like normal for music but for some reason its really quiet when I watch any video be it on YouTube or a video on my phone the volume is just really low. It's almost like it starts going up in the middle of the slider because up to that it's almost completely silent. Any idea on what to do to fix it?

Volume flex topic

Recently acquired a oneplus one and the only thing that seems to be wrong with it is the volume flex. So basically i can't use the volume buttons on the device, however the volume does work when doing it on apps. I can't seem to find that volume flex anywhere. Anybody got any ideas where else I can look for it?
